I can't imagine a better way to have ended it. We finally get to see the infamous "Noodle Incident"?

At risk of showing my age, my favorite comic strips were:
Calvin and Hobbes Far Side Bloom County
On topic, I have all of the C&H collections and read the strips religiously when it was still in circulation.
What grinds my gears is all the Calvin knockoff stickers festooning redneck mobiles with a doppleganger pissing on any NASCAR number or auto logo. That is sacrilege.

That was a great comic, along with Far Side. I do miss the Far Side one a day calenders. And I agree that the last comic for Calvin and Hobbes was a great ending for a great comic.

Watterson hates them too. He actively prevented official merchandise of C&H.

Calvin and Hobbes is the best of all time.
Far Side may have been funnier at times, but it never reached the emotional awesomeness that Calvin and Hobbes did. Calvin and Hobbes tugs at your heart strings while still being funny. It's the epitome of what all strip comics should aspire to be.

Calvin and Hobbes is f***ing amazing. It would make you laugh, think, and feel deep emotion. Really well written.

I've got one of the smaller collections of C&H (titled "Yukon Ho!") and its obviously pretty damn great. I only own collections like that for 3 comic strips: Calvin and Hobbes Far Side Foxtrot So, I guess those are my three favorite comic strips. I miss Foxtrot being a daily comic strip.

I loved Calvin's cardboard box adventures. From the transmogrifier, to the duplicator, to the time machine, they were all fantastic.

I got the Essential Calvin and Hobbes a few years back really cheap. I think it was like 9 bucks, one of my favorite comics of all time.

nope Far Side is and likely always will be my favorite comic strip. And speaking of Far Side, it ended 14 years ago today. Though to be fair, after a year of staring at old strips on my calendar, they haven't held up well at all since then.....

I miss Foxtrot being a daily comic strip. I miss it as well. I just thought that I moved to an area where the local papers did not carry it. Oh well.

I think thats one of Robot Chicken's worst sketches ever. I understand its a parody, but it feels like Seth and the gang completely missed the point of Calvin and Hobbes. Speaking of, one of my favorite things to do as a kid was to read the Calvin and Hobbes collections. And the Far Side Collections. But mostly the Calvin and Hobbes collections.
