Indeed, Funi did save One Piece. And that good, Funi also saved Samurai Champloo today as well. Since the original dvds are out of print now, and they going to be rereleasing it as well. Here is the list of new shows, Funi rescued or just liscenced this past week. www.funimation.com/?page=newshowagogoAnd there will be more announcements later today, when more news comes out. And I hope to god Funi rescue Fushigi Yugi and Trigun now since the Genon discs are out of print now.

I still have the feeling that FUNi won't be given the opportunity to "save" Geneon's sacred cows (Trigun, Tenchi Universe, and Tenchi in Tokyo), but at least they've been allowed to save Gad Guard.

I have to say as someone who doesn't normally watch subs of anime's, Soul Eater is something I watch on a weekly basis and am glad to see Funimation is going to be dubbing it.

Can't wait to see who does the voices.
Of course, more specifically I want to know which character Chris Sabat is voicing, cause his work relationship with FUNi is like Rob Schneiders with Adam Sandler. He always shows up in all the works.
My guess is Chris will voice either Sid-Sensei, Mifune, or(as a stretch) Death Scythe. Those seem most likely.

It's so surreal, to me, to see so much praise for FUNi.
I guess I'm just so used to all the hate they used to get back in the heyday of DBZ. I've actually warmed up to all the DBZ dub voices, but it's still just very strange to see how much everyone loves FUNi now.

Also the fact that they pick up my most favorite series also help. Like when they got the license to dub the Mahou Sensei Negima series. They basically got the license to print money from me. I mean I have 3 Negima wall scrolls hanging up in my room, with another one not hanged up, 4 chibi character key chains, 2 plushies, and 1 figure so far.....oh and every volume of the manga released in English so far..... Yeah....I'm a Negima! junkie...my favorite series(but not the series I think is the best).

And Soul Eater looks pretty f***ing sweet. Can't wait to see it.

I will say this now. I have been supporting Funi since back in the DBZ days of Season 3, when everyone bashed them to death. And I still buy mostly all my anime from them, since they are getting stuff that I want to watch and owned. Since the only series I'm currently buying from other companies is Bleach and when I have a chance to get it, Ranma 1/2.
I mean Funi got all the stuff want to get which inculdes One Piece, Claymore (when I get more money), Stay Fate Night, Peach Girl, Vandread, and I have an huge feeling Funi will be getting the new Fullmetal Alchermist anime that coming out in Japan this coming year. I probably will give Soul Eater a chance when the dvd set comes out this time next year.

Another reason I support FUNi is since it is headquartered in Dallas, TX, nearly every convention I've gone to has been sponsored by them in some way.

Thats kinda I'm hoping for them to rescue Fushigi Yugi. And I'm kinda hoping they go and rescue that Yu Yu Hakusho Movie that CPM dub, so that Funi cast of the series could dub it.

Well the rumor was when the anime was announced it would only be 51 episodes. So far the anime basically has been a chapter or two an episode, which is good speed.

I wouldn't mind seeing them rescue FY. It's a series I've always been interested in seeing, but never really got the opportunity.

Fushigi Yugi is worth seeing in my opinion. Even through the anime ends at the end of Volume 14 after the final battle against Nakago. And that they put the final arc (Volume 15 - 18) of the series in the 2nd OVA series. But the tv series series isn't that bad at all, since it didn't have no fillers at all. And right to be a prefect time to rerelease the anime in the U.S., since is going to start rereleasing the manga version of Fushigi Yugi from the beginning again.
