can anyone explain to me what's so bad about geneon? Well the best reason say is that they went out of business last year in the U.S. And a lot of anime companies are fighting over their series that they own right now which inculdes Trigun, Tenchi Muyo! OVA 1, OVA 2, Tenchi TV (Tenchi Universe), Shin Tenchi Muyo! (Tenchi in Tokyo), and a lot of other stuff. I have a feeling that Funi will go and rescue Hellsing (Funi gots the Hellsing OVA now) and Trigun. For Trigun sake, they already planning to make an animated movie for the series based around the manga version of the story.

The "problem" with Geneon was they went out of business. That's it. They were a GREAT dubbing company.

Yeah, I am very happy with all the animes Funimation has gained, especially Eva. And as an actor who lives in Texas, I am happier, since in a few days, we (a friend and I) will be going straight to the headquarters and turning in our resumes directly to them. I'm excited!

Just remember that being a voice actor doesn't bring in the bacon. While in Japan people can make lucrative careers as a seiyu, in the US being an anime voice actor is actually a low paying job. Mainly cause they aren't paid for the entire series. They only get paid per episode their voice is used. Now granted if you snag the lead character spot on a popular series, you'll make some bank.

Wow...I thought most of you, would get angry, because it was getting a dub, but I was wrong. Great to see some anime fans that don't judge before release.

I really don't see what's wrong in getting anime dubbed in English, though it does get pretty annoying if the ones doing the VA suck, or if the dubbing company wreck the story with a lot of changes. Well, I don't have much to say about English dub anime, since it's pretty rare to see them here on the far corner of Asia, and it's usually either the original Japanese, or Filipino dub for me. In any case this has reminded me to watch Soul Eater again someday.

Oh, I definately know that. But that isn't the important thing to me. Hell, I've done professional work before and I still haven't been paid. It's just the whole thing of "my voice will be heard on tv by thousands, millions of people". And I would jsut love to be known as the voice of a well known characte. So... yeah, its a pride thing

Good luck, with that. Hopefully, we see you down the line on One Piece, since that series have almost 400 episodes (They just aired episode 383 in Japan). And the series have a lot recurring characters and its currently one of Funimation's big properties beside Soul Eater, FMA, DBZ, and few other titles.

One Piece and Soul Eater are probably my best bets. Which is odd, because I'm not even a fan of One Piece. But my dream on would be to be in Eva, even though I pretty much know all the original people are coming back

FUNimation also got Slayers Revolution, which makes me happy. Hope they can get back everyone from the original CPM dub cast. Well, except David Moo. He sucked as Xellos.
