Because your country doesnt embrace basketball but they embrace darts. I mean you treat darts like its a real legit sport. Basketball gets good attendances over here. I used to watch all the home games of my local team. Nearly every game was a sell-out and my team had one of the smallest arenas in the League. Last time I checked, Darts is a legitimate sport. It takes a lot of skill to play darts to a high standard. Darts, like bowling, and pool is a game, not a sport.

It hasn't been in any Olympics yet and it probably won't be in the near future. But my point still stands, Darts is a recognised sport in several countries of the world.

The only reason and time I ever watch darts and poker is at 2am when I can't sleep. They bore the crap out of me enough that I'm out for the count after about 10 minutes

Darts is fantastic.
I love the crowds, their ridiculous fancy dress outfits and the fun, light hearted nature of the sport/game/whatever in general. Their nicknames add to it- how can you not love a man who has the nickname 'The Tripod.'
A great game of darts is truly thrilling. The final when Barneveld beat Taylor to win his first PDC World Championship (2007 I believe) was pretty much breathtaking.
1 O'Clock- BBC One. The BDO tournament begins. Apparently Bobby George has had some surgery and his arm is in a sling, and he's decided to bling up his sling with loads of dodgy jewellery. Brilliant.

The only way i'd watch poker on tv is if if they had a game that replicates the actual poker exprience, that being a bunch of guys sitting around a kitchen table smoking cigars and talking about manly things while playing cards.

There's something strangely hypnotic about TV darts.
It just sucks you in and next thing you know it's 5 o'clock.

Although I'm not a big fan of darts, I still find it very enjoyable to play. When it comes to TV, the tournaments are fine, but c'mon. we have a few brits on here and nobody's mentioned the two best dart game shows in the history of british TV? The Golden Shot and Bullseye?

well even though I hate darts and like Basketball British people like Darts better cos it's British. Just like you don't like soccer because it's not American. I think the soccer hate has more to do with it being boring than foreign. But you only think it's boring because of the American attitude Football/Soccer in UK = Baseball in the UK But that convo has been done and done and done so I'll just say this........................Bullseye rocks
