I keep wondering what would have happened if it was WCW who won the ratings war and put WWE out of business.
How would that be like?
Would the brands be Nitro, Thunder, and WWF?

If WCW would have won then tonight's NITRO would be the biggest moment in the history of the sport...

Then it'd really suck to be a wrestling fan.

I wouldn't mind that much personally, it'd be rather interesting to see someone like HBK in a WCW ring against Eddie and Rey in their prime.

We'd be seeing Nash Vs Hogan at Starcade this year. Fresh.

Someone in McMahon's inner circle would have started a TNA-like company, with McMahon on board, that probably would have put WCW out of business anyway.
In short, McMahon wouldn't have lost that war. He might have went away and retooled, but you can't beat Vince.

WCW still would have gone out of business. It wasn't the WWF that put WCW out of business, it was TNT and TBS canceling wrestling that put WCW out of business.

Why do people think it was the ratings and a "war" to put WCW out. It was a stupid TV company that shafted Billionaire ted from the board and had his favourite show AXED in spite of him.

It depends. Wrestling might be better but there is no way to really find out.

If WCW had won, Ric Flair would have retired by losing to Evan Karagias.

The major storyline would be NWO 2009 vs the New Blood 2009.
The stars on the rise would be Cody Rhodes and Reid Flair.

If WCW had won, the 11 year old WCW mark that I was would have been more than happy to stick it to all of my WWF fan friends.
And then... WCW would have become what the WWE has become. Let's face it, the reason why wresting is in the status it's in today is because it's not "cool" to the masses anymore and a distinct lack of competition at the top ranks.
