No Royal Rumble entrance? That's the HUGE SPOILER they'll use next week... A website with like 15 advertisement slots/banners and two lines of "news" needs to use their "news" sparingly...

...why is everyone assuming this would be a main event? I expect if this ends up being the case that he will have re-debuted by costing Jeff the belt. This screams 9:30 match.

No Royal Rumble entrance? Well he could return at the Rumble, then finsh second or third, then win the SD! chamber match at NWO, thus facing Jeff or Jeff loses at NWO and they have Jeff vs. Christian as grudge match with no title on the line. Also it is a spoiler, a possible spoiler, hence the title.

It took Jeff almost a decade to get there, he's been chasing the World Title for like one good year, and now he finally got it, do you think WWE will say "thank you, enjoy your 30 days as Champion, you'll be back in the midcard soon"? Fans have been dying to see Jeff get the title, so I don't see a reason to throw him down the card already. That'd be stupid, and bad business. And all that to put him in a program with CHRISTIAN??? THE midcarderest midcarder that ever midcarded?

That'd be stupid, and bad business. And all that to put him in a program with CHRISTIAN??? THE midcarderest midcarder that ever midcarded? Didn't have any problem doing it with Edge in 06 when he first won it despite the fact that for those 3 weeks ratings literally soared for Raw. He ended up back on top in short order, no reason Jeff couldn't too. Hey, it wasn't exactly that long ago that those Hardy Boyz and Edge were also in the dead on midcard role. I know a lot of people say they saw all this main event success coming all the way back in 2000, but I have a hard time buying that from a lot of them. You want Christian to matter as much as those three? All WWE has to do is push him like it. He's every bit the promo and in ring worker as the other three. The push is all he's missing. A program with those three is as good a start as any. People will pay for E&C vs. Hardyz again, no doubt.

This looks more like a guess then anything. Christian hasn't even have reports of signing a new deal. I love how people bashed Christian if they wanted him to be in the ME. Why wouldn't it be believeable.
Where was Jeff Hardy for the LONGEST time. Midcarder. He just now got to the ME. Christian may not ever ME evented a WWE PPV. But he was always at that boardline. He Main Evented a lot of Raws. He had a ton of High Profile Matches which most cases was the next hyped match on a PPV behind the WWE or World title matches.

I'll believe it when I see it. As for now, it just seems like a slow newz day and they're just trying to pass the time with pure conjecture.

If they debut Christian again and throw him in a main event at Mania, your gonna kill his momentum. No way is he ready for a title feud on debut, remember how well it worked for Jericho at first?

I do agree that Christian will need an almost Jericho-like hype surrounding his return if he's going to be hotshotted to the main event.
It's that, or Jeff/Christian will get the HHH/Booker T WM 19 treatment where it's the far less important World title match on the card.

I might get some heat for saying this.. but does anyone else feel that Christian is overrated? A lot of hype? I think he is a great mid carder, but a main eventer? Maybe only on ECW. As a top guy in TNA he didn't impress me. He might be a good talker, but I always felt he wasnt that great in the ring. Is everyone so certain he will come back and be over? I dont view him on the same level as Jericho, Orton, and Edge.

For what it's worth, Jason Powell at .NET is reporting something similar about Jeff vs. Christian being a proposal for Mania 25, with Christian being Jeff's attacker at Survivor Series. I don't know if that's just following a rumour though. But he still can't confirm he's even signed.

I know WWE and TNA are different universes and all, but it'll be weird seeing Christian as a major heel (assuming this rumour happens) after his sympathetic departure from Impact.

I'd say he's just following the rumor especially as they can't even confirm that Christian has signed at this point.

While it would undoubtedly be a good match, I don't think thrusting Cage into the world title hunt straight away is a good idea. Have him win the US Title first or something, and then he can chase the WWE Title around the next 'Mania maybe. Kinda like what they did with Jeff after his return, where he was in the IC mix for a while initially, before main eventing.

I dont view him on the same level as Jericho, Orton, and Edge. I find Christian is extremely overrated. How some people can see him as a potential top-heel is a mystery to me. Not to mention the idea of re-debuting him as Main Eventer is laughable. WWE almost shot themselves in the foot by putting Chris Jericho, who has been 10x more relevant than Christian, back in the Main Event after two years of hiatus and after a long stint of midcard mediocrity. Christian would be coming back from almost three years of TNA and after a lifetime as midcard filler. The comparison with Jericho or Jeff Hardy is way too flattering to Christian, and even putting him on Matt Hardy's level is a bit of a stretch. Captain "Charisma" is an okay talker, but in the ring he hasn't shown a thing since his days in E&C, and even then it was Edge the better half.

I remember back in the day, liking both E&C but always preferring Christian. In fact, I always thought Christian was never given his fair share of credit. When they split I still preferred Christian to Edge. You're assuming people mean Christian would be in the ME for the WWE title right away. Who's to say they can't build to that, given the proper re-debut and push? And in talking about working with the Hardys and/or Edge - all at a higher level than they have ever been - that's a logical fit. It's not a forced association and would lend to throwing him into the ME tier of things.
