I was trying to do a prediction for the Rumble card and it was hard to fit everyone important on the card.
Everytime I was doing it, I was missing Kofi or Punk, or had to get rid of Ezekiel and Primo just to let TBK and Carlito in. Also there was no room for surprise participants.
So what I'm asking is, should WWE increase the number of participants in the Rumble?

I'd increase it to Sixty.
Two title matches, followed by the Mega-Rumble.

No, 30 is good. The top 30 contenders in all WWE out of almost 100 are battling for the title shots, instead of having random guys who would never get any chance at a World Title coming in.

Not a chance.
I mean if it was guaranteed an action packed Rumble like 92 or 2004 then sure, but if we get one like 2006 and it has like 50 guys and most of them are the ones no one cares for like Hawkins & Ryder it could get real boring real fast.

It'd probably burn the crowd out.
MAYBE one that went 40, but I'd rather not.

The idea is alright, but in reality, you'd get a "boring" chant by around number 35. So I vote for no.

No, but if they ever decided to have a Unified title, I'd love to see the title be vacated and the winner decided in a World War 3 type match (60 men, three rings, rumble rules)

You'd have to spice it up, like Big Show or Kozlov, or the like, defeating a bunch in short order. Two guys facing off for a bit, Dreamer coming in and caning guys, stuff like that. It couldn't be like just another Rumble.

With the current wrestlers WWE has, it wouldn't be hard to find 40 guys that could work, I would go with: Triple H Undertaker Shawn Michaels Randy Orton Kane Chris Jericho Rey Mysterio CM Punk Big Show Mark Henry Matt Hardy Finlay Chavo Guerrero Kofi Kingston John Morrison The Miz Carlito Primo Vladimir Kozlov The Brian Kendrick Cody Rhodes Manu Dolph Ziggler Jimmy Wang Yang R-Truth Shelton Benjamin Charlie Haas MVP Jack Swagger Ricky Ortiz Tommy Dreamer William Regal Mr. Kennedy Umaga Jamie Noble Evan Bourne Mike Knox Kung Fu Naki Goldust Santino Marella 40 guys who could instantly steal the show with the Rumble.

No. Thirty is a precedent that should stay intact. It seems like just the right number to me. I was going to start a thread about which time interval works best. I might expand the time interval back to two minutes, but I wouldn't expand the number of participants.

The Rumble is the most perfect match ever devised in wrestling history. Why change it?

The Rumble is probably the best gimmick match ever concieved, and I don't want to see any drastic changes.
And we all know that if more competitors were added, they'd just make the time between entrances shorter, like 30 seconds.

I'd love a 60 man mega rumble, but only if they brought back those "1 night only" appearances like dick murdoch in 95, ohtani in 96, terry funk in 97, valentine and kabuki in 94, etc. It was always interesting to see how long they lasted, if at all.

Not necessarily, if so many people are in the Rumble, that would mean there would be less matches on the undercard, and they would probably be about 1 and a half hour tops, so the Rumble gets a decent 1 and a half hour, thus meaning they wouldn't have to lower the time intervals.

How bout this idea? Instead of adding the number of Rumble participants, lets just have two Rumbles. Imagine if this was the card
WWE Championship Match Jeff Hardy vs. Edge
World Heavyweight Championship Match John Cena vs. JBL
Smackdown Royal Rumble for WWE Title Match Big Show Carlito Hawkins DH Smith Ezekiel Jackson Festus Hurricane Helms Jesse Jimmy Wang Yang Kung Fu Naki MVP Kennedy Primo R-Truth Bam Neely Scotty Goldman Shelton Benajamin The Brian Kendrick The Great Khali HHH Umaga The Undertaker Vladimir Kozlov Zack Ryder Christian Tomko Matt Hardy Chavo Guerrero Finlay Mark Henry
Raw Royal Rumble Match for World Hvy Title Match Charlie Haas Chris Jericho CM Punk Cody Rhodes D'LO Brown Hacksaw Jim Duggan Hardcore Holly Jamie Noble JTG Kane Kofi Kingston Manu Mike Knox Paul Burchill Randy Orton Rey Mysterio Santino Marella Shad Shawn Michaels Sim Snuka Ted DiBiase Val Venis William Regal Miz John Morrison Evan Bourne Jack Swagger Ricky Ortiz Tommy Dreamer Boogeyman
I basically can get to 23 RAW guys and 23 Smackdown guys. I added a returning Christian and Tomko to the Smackdown Rumble and split the ECW guys up how I felt it made the most sense.

40 guys who could instantly steal the show with the Rumble. Well at least three of the higher card guys wouldn't be in the match (title shots) and you have a handful of guys who serve no purpose in there (Jimmy Wang Yang, Jamie Noble, Ricky Ortiz) as well as maybe too many comedy entrants (Santino, Goldust, Kung Fu Naki). So I'd still rather see a 30 man version of this.

So I'd still rather see a 30 man version of this. I took out Jeff, Edge, JBL, and Cena for the World Title matches. And Jimmy Wang Yang, Noble, and Ortiz do serve a purpose. Yang provides interesting cruiserweight spots and could be a perfect guy for an elimination spree when a hoss enters. Noble could be in there to prove that literally anyone could win the Rumble...not just a bunch of main eventers who people care about more. Ortiz is there for the hell of it, although I would take him out for Hurricane Helms, Festus, or a debuting Hart Foundation if I had the choice.
