Okay here are the eras that I can come up with.
1970s were pretty much the Bruno Sammartino Era.
Early 1980s I'm not sure what you would call. Lets come up with something if there already isn't a name for it.
Mid and Late 1980s to about early 1993 would be I would think The Hulkamania Era.
Late 1993 to early 1997 would be the New Generation Era.
Late 1997 to early 2001 would be the Attitude Era.
After that I'm not exactly sure. I would think there would be two seperate eras since if you compare 2003 to now it was very different.

Early 80s, I guess that'd be the Backlund era?

The Mid 80s to Early 90s have been called the Federation Years and Rock 'n' Wrestling Era.

I think the Ruthless Agression era was sandwiched in with the Brand era.

I think the Ruthless Agression era was sandwiched in with the Brand era. Yeah I think 2003 was pretty much it's own era being The Ruthless Aggression Era. That is when they tried to instantly bring in Cena and make him the new top guy but he didn't get as over as they wanted in his little tights. I really believe Cena was suppose to be the top guy ever since he was brought into WWE.

The Attitude Era is certainly a name even WWE uses. New Generation is another term generated by WWE from about 1993 to 1996. Most fans trying to name the era before that say Hulkamania Era or the Golden Age. Some people use the term 'Rock and Wrestling Era' to refer to 1985 to 1986, but more people put these years in the 'Hulkamania Era.'
Since the Attitude Era, I have heard fans use terms like 'The E Era," "The Brand Extension Era," "Ruthless Aggression," and even the "Cena Era" (that shouldn't be popular with IWC). There is no consensus on what the era or eras after the Attitude Era are called. I haven't heard people try to name the Era before 'Rock n Wrestling' or 'Hulkamania.' Sammartino Era, WWWF Era, or Backlund Era might work.

Of course, he might have said that about Brakkus too.

Yeah it just seems way too obvious that they planned on making Cena the top guy from his first match with Angle where Angle made him look like a million bucks. I actually believe that eventually some day he will drop the rap clothes and go back to something similar like what he wore then.

I think the shorts look better since they take the focus off of his legs not being as big.

From what I heard, if Stephanie didn't overhear Cena freestyling on an overseas tour in 2002, there was a very good chance he would've been let go by the end of the year.

I've always thought of 2002-current as "The Entertainment Era" I was just thinking 2002ish to 2007 the Sports Entertainment Era, and 2007 to present, the Entertainment Era.

Ruthless Aggression is 2002-2005, people sometimes call it the Smackdown Six era and the Evolution Years.

Ruthless Aggression is 2002-2005, people sometimes call it the Smackdown Six era and the Evolution Years. Wasn't Ruthless Aggression the new era they tried to make but failed in 2002. I have only heard them refer to it like three times on WWE TV and it was all back during late 2002. I don't see why you would call it the 2002 to 2005.
