From LOP: Also, I noticed they edited Edge's music on the Viva La Raza DVD. I believe they edited it to the E+C theme from the Rob Zombie theme, which though understandable, made me a sad panda .

They've been doing that edit with E & C's theme replacing Edge's Rob Zombie theme for a while now.

None of that even remotely shocks me, considering the obvious. And the Edge deal is nothing new...they've been dubbing the RZ theme on archive footage ever since they lost the rights to it over 4 years ago.

NOT THIS WAY! DAMN IT.
Even I'll admit though, this is just excessive.

'Never Gonna Stop' has been edited a lot.
Very interesting about editing the concussion/brain damage comments, which Chris Nowinski has been preaching about for awhile now, not to mention it brings up thought about Benoit.

I don't really mind. I'm not watching these DVDs to be bummed out.

does it really take away from the enjoyment of the DVD? Did anyone really buy the DVD to hear Jerry's lecture about chairshots?

nothing too important or shocking. Looks like just a "newsbreak" to rile up some smarks.

I have the orginal release of the Bad Blood ppv and that's correct.
Kinda odd they would even think to remove that from the release.......oh well. Doesn't affect my enjoyment of the dvd.

Had I heard that on the DVD I probably wouldn't have even realized it. When I read about the edit, Benoit was the first thing I thought about. Backfire?

What, they think Jerry Lawler's breakdown of a match is suddenly going to cause someone watching at home to go, "wait a damn second ... chair shots? ...concussions? .... mental s....OH MY GOD BENOIT! HOLY CRAAAAAP!!!!!!", turn the DVD off, take it back and demand a refund? I've never had a real problem with them removing Benoit footage from best of comps and removing his likeness from cases, but this is just borderline ridiculous.

I didn't remember him saying it in the first place, so it didn't bother me. However, I do find it very interesting that they would cut out those words, which are similar to words of some critics and advocates who warn about unprotected chair shots, the dangers of concussions, and brain damage.

People put too much thought into this. Its likely an editing team in Stamford and they are under instruction to "remove any references to Benoit or things that could remind people of Benoit" During editing they stumbled upon this piece of commentary and figured better to err on the side of caution.

Yeah, kinda weird for Lawler to actually state what specialists outside of the wrestling realm have been saying: I can see why it was removed.

Haven't forgiven WWE DVDs since they took THAT bit of the Mickie/Trish match off the Mania 22 disc.
