My favorite:
"Damn him!"
There's just something about the way JR says it. If only I could remember which match it was from...

"Austin is here tonight in more ways then one."
I still have no clue what that means.

*Chris Benoit's music hits on RAW*
JR: And here we see Chris Jericho, making his way down the ramp... Triple H: Yep, I also see Benoit as well.
*Long pause by JR*

Someone clear this up for me...
There was a couple of matches where Shane McMahon was the special guest referee and I think Austin was involved in the match ready to win and Shane was right down the middle the whole night and then does a heel turn where he stops counting at two.
J.R.: One! Two! (pause) THREE! THREE DAMMIT! DAMN YOU SHANE!
I swear I remember the next PPV or one not far from it the SAME scenario happened with the same exact J.R. commentary. I stopped watching wrestling for awhile but I know this happened. If anyone knows where this was from, please let me know so I can get this ppv on dvd. I quote that J.R. line all the time...lol.

His match versus Mankind (I think) at Survivor Series 1998.

At the Gayda match: "Mercifully, it's over."
You have to give it to JR that he's not going to lie to us.

One of the great things about JR is that fans "in the know" can pick up his true feelings about things quite easily. My honest wish for a commentary team has always been Joey Styles and JR. I honestly feel like they would fit each other quite well. But JR and Tazz are just as good because their personalities fit so well together (surprisingly).

I'd be interested to see if Styles and JR meshed well, but both are play by play, so there'd be no color guy.
