I feel bad for Shelton. He's had four single title reigns, and because of the booking being so daft none of them will be remembered.
Give him a proper feud. Not these stupid non title loss to title match gimmicks.

Shelton loses constantly which is ridiculous. Who is he supposed to be? Mysterio? Mysterio only won the title defenses. Shelton only wins the title defenses. But he loses every other match. They need to have him win clean over R-Truth, Helms, and anyone else he defends against. But I vote either Youmanga or Kennedy Kennedy. Actually he beat R-Truth clean I believe and as well as Helms this past week. Yeah, and kicked out of two of Helm's finishers. I hope him and Helms have a rematch, that was awesome.

I thought sure R-Truth was gonna take it from him. Seems he got depushed all of a sudden. I actually like him.

It'd have to probably be a face, since The Brian Kendrick or the like beating him wouldn't do much for the fans.

Charton BenjaHaas.
Just move him from Raw and you have an awesome match and feud.

I wish The Brian Kendrick, but with both being heels, it won't happen. Kennedy would be nice, or a returning Umaga would be interesting too.

Why would Umaga be interesting? He had the IC title before, the reign... wasnt interesting. Replaying something that wasnt interesting a year and a half ago wont all of a sudden make people care. Just ditch the title if you're going to have it mean zllch.

Just ditch the title if you're going to have it mean zllch. It means more than zilch. The fact they had him defending makes me think they intend to jumpstart it again. Fact is, unless you're a world champ, you'll have dry spells and high times. It's just a matter of booking. Being champ helps you get on the show, but it's not a promise you'll be on.

It's been said a few times already, Umaga. I think if you want a surprise winner, then Scotty Goldman would be the guy. (No, I'm not a guy that thinks "Colt Cabana" should win every title either)

Finlay, Benoit, Kennedy, Lashley, and MVP gave it a lot of action, until Matt won it and didn't seem to do much prior to losing it to Shelton who also hasn't done much.

I'm going to go with Jack Swagger. ECW wrestlers contend for the SmackDown titles as well.

ANYBODY!! Please. I don't like switching the channel for fear of falling asleep during a match when Shelton appears.
Ideally Helms, who has been deserving of a decent push for a long time, he has all the tools.
