Monster heels? What, like Undertaker? Or Yokozuna? Or Sid? Or Diesel? Yeah, they didn't rise above the mid-card did they? Yup you've named 4 wrestlers from 1990,1992,1992 and 1993, thank you for proving my point. I'd at least thought you would have went with Kane. But you've given everyone great evidence that monster heels usually dont last long. Yeah, USUALLY. Why can't Umaga be the exception? He's great in the ring, has a great look and if the guy was given a mouth piece (like when he debuted) he could be damn near perfect. Don't compare him to worthless pieces of crap like Snitsky and Big Daddy V - they deserve to flounder in the mid card. Umaga doesn't.

I didnt say it wasnt possible, its just not done often, especially when that monster heel doesnt talk and is only about the same size as a lot of the uppercard guys.

Did they actually say he'd be back next week? I didn't notice it say anything on the promo other than he was returning.
If so, Kizarny and Umaga on the same Smackdown, I'm looking forward to it.

I didn't notice it say anything on the promo other than he was returning. yes, all the Promo said was Umaga: Coming to smackdown. so he most likely won't be back for a couple weeks. Similar to how Mike Knox had a few "Coming to Raw" Promos before his raw debut.

Seriously everybody goes on and on about how some characters are one dimensional, like Hogan, Warrior, Goldberg, Big SHow, Undertaker, Austin, and Batista/Cena. However they've proven to be some of the most successful and over guys on the roster. Hell Kane is one of the most multi-dimensional characters in Pro wrestling. Oh and I want Umaga to be WWE champion and be booked like Yokozuna, complete with Fuji-san.

Umaga was at this past week's PWA show. He came out and tore up this heel tag team.

I could see Umaga's return being the Rumble where he throws out a 8 or 9 guys before being eliminated by a face starting his next/Wrestlemania feud.

That would be a pretty damn good way to bring him back and make him matter. With Big Show and Kozlov around, Umaga will need to find a way to make an impact, and that would be it.

I think a big impact he can make is by going face. Seriously I think it would work.

I think a big impact he can make is by going face. Seriously I think it would work. I thought they should have done that already. Summer of 07 when his first feud with Hardy ended and he was semi-feuding with Kennedy/Carlito. He was beating them clean and fans were REALLY getting behind him. He came out to seemingly back Hardy up on his return, then turned on him right away. Fans were ready to embrace him. I thought they should have run with that.

I think a big impact he can make is by going face. Seriously I think it would work. I think it needs to be done right. My scenario: Vickie andEdge attempt to recruit him as their hired muscle against Jeff/HHH/Whoever. Instead, Umaga refuses and is attacked. Maybe feuds with Big Show?

With Kozlov and Big Show being heel, we don't need another heel monster. Khali is face, but he's not used as a normal wrestler, so Umaga would still benefit from sticking out. Festus would be his only other competetion for the role, but he's lower on the card. Undertaker is a face monster, yes, but he's Undertaker.

Exactly what I said.

I've always like Umaga, his presence is definitely missed. It just sucks that he has HHH on the same show that he is on...

Umaga is one of the best big men I've seen since I started watching wrestling. Almost unfairly athletic, and has great matches with most everyone. Especially Cena and Jeff. I want Jeff vs. Umaga again, belt on the line. Then give him Taker. I agree with this. I have missed my monster over the last 6 months or so. Hopefully, he will get a great returning push to bigger things when he comes back to SD. He is the best big man WWE has had in quite a while in my view.

I'm glad he's back....it's been so long! I hope he returns in good fit physical condition and hasn't gained weight and gotten out of shape. You consider Umaga in shape? You must be judging his weight in comparison to other Samoan wrestlers.

He's back next week? Bloody awesome. I love Umaga. A monster Samoan that can do dropkicks was always going to be special.
