How long was he with the 'E? I can't remember much of his run, or even his title reign for that matter. About one year

I think Goldberg was booked great. Look at his reaction at the 2004 Royal Rumble and the way he murders everybody.
I also don't see the problem with the Goldust skit. I thought it was funny. It's not like all of his heat was killed by that.

I don't think WWE booked Goldberg badly, but like someone else said, he was basically "just another guy" in WWE. Sure he was a top guy, but still he was one of many.
In WCW, Goldberg had a "magic" to him that launched him to the top. Goldberg was at the right place at the right time, I think. He entered WCW at a point where WCW was dominated by the "old guys". Sure WCW had a lot of young talent, but the top guys were basically Hogan and pals. Here comes Goldberg though, and he was a brand new face -- and the people just ate him up. He wasn't just another top guy... he was a new and exciting guy who was tearing through the roster. He was a "people's champion" of sorts.
So when he signed with WWE, that "magic" wasn't really there because everyone already knew Goldberg. People saw him as a veteran by that point, and not a guy who started at the very bottom and moved to the very top like he did in WCW.

This may be superficial, but the WWE remix of Goldberg's theme sounded really weak... and the white trim on his wrestling trunks looked like something Sean Waltman would wear.

I was never too big on bringing Goldberg over to WWE if they couldn't do the Austin/Goldberg dream match. I know why Vince did it, but he never really appealed to me personally.
That being said, I think they should've just went with the original plan for SummerSlam and do Triple H vs. Goldberg one-on-one and have him take out Trips so he can rest his injury. I think he was starting to peak in his WWE run at that point, and considering how fed up the crowd was with HHH's run, the timing would've been perfect for Goldberg to just run him over and take the belt.

I think the biggest mistake made with Goldberg was WWE signing him in the first place. This. A million, billion, gazillion times THIS!!!!

Honestly, I find it hard to believe in the magic of Goldberg when his last WCW appearance was losing to Buff Bagwell.

I was always a huge Goldberg mark in WCW,he was my first "favourite wrestler". When he came into WWE I was still a mark at the time and I loved his run. Sure, he lost a bit but I'd only started watching wrestling in 2000 (Can't remmeber why I didnt watch it before then), so I'd seen him lose before.
Looking back I still don't think there was much wrong with his run. The Goldust skit didnt make any difference so didnt matter. Only thing that may have been better was him winning in the Chamber and/or reshuffling the timing of the bounty as stated, to build a bit more heat for his return.

my biggest problem with Goldber is that WWE made him seem just like a normal upper-mid card/main-eventer, when he should have been a HUGE deal. BINGO! - bretclark

Didn't he fall during his entrance when he does his high kick? That would kill some momentum. We all know his match with Lesnar was a disaster, but I think the problem was that he didn't really want to be there anyways. It's like he decided to go make some quick cash and then put it on cruise control until he could leave. The only match anybody wanted to see was Goldberg and Austin. That would have been bigger than Rock/Hogan just because those guys were accused of biting off of each other for years.

Some people say he was missued and that includes him. Which look at his run. I don't see it. He beat HHH like Three time. One for the title and Two Raw rematches. He beat Jericho and The Rock also on PPV. It seems the only beef that he didn't squash everyone. That the WWE made him have longer matches. Well the problem is WWE doesn't have a bunch of Jerry Flynns and Brad Armstrongs sitting around.
Goldberg had to much of an ego for his own good there an still does when it comes to wrestling.

Yes he did fall during his entrance at Summerslam 03, but clearly the live crowd didn't care all that much about it as once the match began they were cheering his name like crazy when he decimated Orton, HBK and Jericho.

I honestly think the only people who remember that "wig" segment are the people on this board. It was a segment that is hardly memorable, and was just something for laughs. I fail to see how it destroyed somebody's entire run.
I have to agree with the peeps who said that Goldberg was booked fine...and for those who think he shouldn't have come in the first place, we would have never seen a car stall out LIVE on Monday Night Raw.
