Which storylines did you have to read the dirtsheets/websites to get?
Obviously, most of the stuff from WCW circa 2000.
The Matt Hardy/Lita/Edge storyline. Especially since she'd been with Kane, and then Kane had to be taken out of the storyline altogether, and it made no sense. I really hated Matt's line about about 'while on tv she was with Kane, but she was actually with me'...Okay, that's just ruined most of raw since you've just told everyone everything they're seeing is fake. I mean, obviously, people know that, but you don't tell them in the middle of the show.
The NWO angle in 2002: Was based on all the backstage political stuff that you would have to read the dirtsheets to know about.

The NWO angle worked fine even if you didn't read the dirtsheets. Most people had an idea of what they did in WCW, so all the WWE needed to do was play off of it. I didn't read the dirtsheets at the time and it was pretty easy for me and my friends to figure out.
I think the Mcmahon-Helmsley storyline pushed it with the behind scenes at times though. It got real old by the end of 2000.
