On to Round 17 ....
In the event of a tie both will carry on to the next day to meet some other challenger. I will try and vary the sources from comics to TV show characters.
I'm also going to add a bit of story to this to make it interesting, it's still a favorite poll but it's going to have continuity!
I will happily take requests for future opponents. But in the meantime we have to continue the story ...
--------------------------------------
*Living Tribunal is here and he wants balance.*
Living Tribunal: "What do you mean you like him? Alright we'll stick with him but I'm returning him to earth!"
*Deadpool wakes up in a a dark room.*
Deadpool: "It's like I'm being played in a game of cosmic tiddlywinks. Where am I?"
*From the shadows a man rushes him and pins him to the wall.*
Man: "It was you! You killed the Comedian!"
Deadpool: "Probably, I mean I've killed lots of people. Which comedian are we talking about?"
Man: "THE Comedian"
*Light appears from a desk lamp and the man reveals himself. He wears a trenchcoat and has a mask*
Deadpool: "Nice mask, is that my trenchcoat? Have you been going through my things? The George Clooney Nespresso isn't mine I swear!"
Rorschach: "Why did you do it? Who are you working for? I want answers and I will get them!"
Deadpool: "Are you the robber?"
Rorschach: "No robbers, only a murderer. Tell me the truth!!!"
Deadpool: "The Truth? You can't handle the Truth ... not with the amount of media outlets today thats for sure!"
Who will prevail here?
Deadpool
Nicknamed the "Merc with a Mouth", Deadpool is a high-tech mercenary known for his wisecracks, black humor, and pop-culture humor. Like the X-Men's Wolverine, Deadpool is the product of the Canadian government's paramilitary Weapon X program. After Weapon X cured his terminal cancer by implementing a regenerative "healing factor" extracted from Wolverine, Deadpool is left disfigured and mentally unstable, has a portable teleportation device, and is a crack shot with various weapons. He also has a telepathic immunity and is an exceptionally good martial arts fighter having gone toe to toe with Ironfist, Taskmaster and Wolverine and winning. Deadpool is one of few Marvel comic book characters that have regularly broken the "fourth wall" and called attention to his nature as a comic book character. Marvel has officially referred to this as Deadpool's "comic awareness," a play on Captain Marvel's "cosmic awareness." In the past he teamed up and taken on a variety of marvel characters ranging from the Great Lake Avengers to Death herself. Notably he teamed with Cable in a series together but after that partnership split he has been mostly solo although recently he has picked up a sidekick in the form of Bob, Agent of HYDRA.
vs
Rorschach
Rorschach was created by Watchmen writer Alan Moore with artist Dave Gibbons but, as with most of the central characters in the series, he was an analog for a Charlton Comics character, in this case The Question. Moore has said that the character's real name, Walter Kovacs, was inspired by Ditko's tendency to give his characters names beginning with the letter K. In an interview for the BBC's Comics Britannia, Moore stated that Rorschach was created as a way of exploring how an archetypical Batman-type character—-a driven, vengeance-fueled, vigilante—-would be like in the real world. He concluded that the short answer was "a nutcase". Wearing the mask that displays a constantly morphing inkblot, which he considers his "true face", Rorschach has continued his one-man battle against crime long after superheroes have become both detested and illegal. Rorschach’s actions and journal writings display a belief in moral absolutism and moral objectivism, where good and evil are clearly defined and evil must be violently punished. He has alienated himself from the rest of society to achieve these aims. Politically, he is an anti-communist, anti-liberal, and strong nationalist. Rorschach is described by Alan Moore as an extremely right-wing character. Rorschach uses any and all weapons that are available at the time, such as pepper to blind a police officer and the use of hairspray in combination with a match to set fire to another police officer, as well as Moloch's house. He owns a gas-powered grappling gun, which he uses to climb buildings. Rorschach is well versed in street combat, and traditional boxing. In the course of the limited series he demonstrated the ability to best multiple armed assailants with little difficulty. Rorschach demonstrated that he was relatively indifferent to physical pain and discomfort. Due to his time in juvenile detention facilities and group homes as a child he is as street savvy as any criminal. Rorschach also demonstrated the ability to break into a variety of locked buildings and homes, suggesting the expertise of a master thief. Rorschach has been described as "tactically brilliant, and unpredictable" by Nite Owl.
