And the Deadpool era is over, that was very close. On to Round 18 ....
In the event of a tie both will carry on to the next day to meet some other challenger. I will try and vary the sources from comics to TV show characters.
I'm also going to add a bit of story to this to make it interesting, it's still a favorite poll but it's going to have continuity!
I will happily take requests for future opponents. But in the meantime we have to continue the story ...
--------------------------------------
*Last time Rorschach had Deadpool pinned to the wall.*
Deadpool: Look buddy I dont' know about any Comedian, but I am looking for a robber who is supposedly important enough to warrant S.H.I.E.L.D invovlement so perhaps he knows?
*Rorschach lets go of Deadpool, grabs the lamp and clouts him over the head knocking him out*
Rorschach: Perhaps your right perhaps your ... YOU!
*Rorshach leaps through the window, it shatters in a hail of broken glass. What we find outside is that Rorschach was in a four story apartment. He latches onto a man, a man on stilts!?*
Stilt-Man: Ah you fool!!! I'm stumbling!!
Is Stilt-man important to the case or a red herring?
Rorschach
Rorschach was created by Watchmen writer Alan Moore with artist Dave Gibbons but, as with most of the central characters in the series, he was an analog for a Charlton Comics character, in this case The Question. Moore has said that the character's real name, Walter Kovacs, was inspired by Ditko's tendency to give his characters names beginning with the letter K. In an interview for the BBC's Comics Britannia, Moore stated that Rorschach was created as a way of exploring how an archetypical Batman-type character—-a driven, vengeance-fueled, vigilante—-would be like in the real world. He concluded that the short answer was "a nutcase". Wearing the mask that displays a constantly morphing inkblot, which he considers his "true face", Rorschach has continued his one-man battle against crime long after superheroes have become both detested and illegal. Rorschach’s actions and journal writings display a belief in moral absolutism and moral objectivism, where good and evil are clearly defined and evil must be violently punished. He has alienated himself from the rest of society to achieve these aims. Politically, he is an anti-communist, anti-liberal, and strong nationalist. Rorschach is described by Alan Moore as an extremely right-wing character. Rorschach uses any and all weapons that are available at the time, such as pepper to blind a police officer and the use of hairspray in combination with a match to set fire to another police officer, as well as Moloch's house. He owns a gas-powered grappling gun, which he uses to climb buildings. Rorschach is well versed in street combat, and traditional boxing. In the course of the limited series he demonstrated the ability to best multiple armed assailants with little difficulty. Rorschach demonstrated that he was relatively indifferent to physical pain and discomfort. Due to his time in juvenile detention facilities and group homes as a child he is as street savvy as any criminal. Rorschach also demonstrated the ability to break into a variety of locked buildings and homes, suggesting the expertise of a master thief. Rorschach has been described as "tactically brilliant, and unpredictable" by Nite Owl.
vs
Stilt-Man
Wilbur Day was born in New York City. As a scientist, he engineered a pair of extremely long, telescopic metal legs, which allowed him to tower high over the ground. (useful for high-story heists). Stilt-Man first appeared in Daredevil vol. 1 #8 and was one of his earliest enemies. The character did not age well, as his powers were more a curiosity than a real threat. As of 2008, Stilt-Man is seen as a mere footnote and as an example of the arguably weird rogues' gallery Daredevil had in his early, pre-Frank Miller days — indeed, during Miller's Daredevil run, Stilt-Man was portrayed as a miserable loser. Day is a competent, although perhaps not genius, engineer and inventor. Day often uses a gun capable of producing a potent stun gas. He has also used gas grenades, an electrified exterior for his suit, and various conventional weaponry.
