What was the song for the Owl/Silk love scene? That was one of the oddest music choices I've ever seen for a serious love scene. Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen? Odd? Yes. Cool? Yes.

It was basically like Dan thinking to himself "YES! Thank you God! I get to f*** this fine ass woman!"

The opening credits is what really bugged me most about Spill's review.
They said that nothing in the credits happened in the book.
Well first off, just because they weren't drawn doesn't mean they didn't happen. Maybe if they took the time to read the short texts in between each chapter......
For example, showing the fates of Silhouette, Dollar Bill, and Mothman was amazing to see, because they were only talked about, not shown.

Wow, it was better than I thought it could be..... Plan to go see it again at least 2 more times.
If anyone finds/makes a list of stuff that was left out and stuff only shown in the movie would they please post it.

One thing I noticed that was left out: (Spoiler so highlight the below text) Was the death of Hollis Mason aka the original Night Owl.

Well, I went to the midnight showing and I was pretty disappointed.
Not to say it was a bad movie, though. It was quite entertaining. Good dialogue, good action, and it mostly stayed true to the source material. However, as a person who read the comic, the movie's ending really dealt a blow to the movie. Not to say what they ended up doing didn't make sense or anything, it's just...not what I wanted to end up seeing. Oh well, the movie needed to sell tickets, and that ending is more uh...sensible, I guess. I probably won't see it a second time in the theaters.

See, as I said the ending in the movie seems much more plausible. Besides, it makes MUCH more sense than Veidt's plot in the book. Veidt wanted the world(in the book) to feel like it was under a huge threat, well having only 3 million people in New York die doesn't exactly do that. However, having 5x that amount die all across the world? THAT would certainly get across the idea of a threat to all mankind.

Did anybody have any dresser-uppers? I only saw one. A guy walked in with some jeans and shoes on, and from the waist up, no shirt, and painted blue. As soon as we walked out, he was in the lobby looking like he quickly and poorly tried to wash it off, so he must have left at some point to do that before the movie ended. He was only like 4 or 5 rows in front of me.
Oh, and what trailers did you guys get? I saw:
Wolverine Public Enemies <---can't wait for this one. Terminator Salvation.
I have to say, Wolverine looks stupid. It's like, if you ever wanted to know what the X-Men looked like in middle/high school...here you go.
Terminator looks lame too.
Public Enemies looks amazing, then again...I'm a sucker for old gangster flicks.

However, having 5x that amount die all across the world? THAT would certainly get across the idea of a threat to all mankind. [SPOILERS] The way I see it, the fact that three million people dying in New York wasn't the biggest issue of Veidt's plan in the comic. The bigger issue was that Veidt wanted everybody to believe that an "alien" threat was real, and that the world should band together against a common foe, since if the "aliens" attempted to attack America, who knows where else? I mean, it just appeared out of thin air, unprovoked and unannounced. Even Castro had to think "Whoa, uh...I feel for you, America. How bout' a truce for now?" during that situation. The replacement of the "alien" with "Dr. Manhattan" being the one who committed the crimes on a much larger scale DOES work, but I don't like the idea of having Veidt making the Doc out to be the bad guy. Not saying it makes no sense, but I just would have done things differently is all.

Oh, and me as Hobo Walter Kovacs complete with a "The End is Nigh" sign.

I'd be more interested in Wolverine if Tyler Mane was Sabretooth again.
There was an awesome Star Trek trailer before Watchmen.
I saw a few people dressed up as Rorschach last night. I'm not sure how long some people were waiting in line (I got in at 10:20), but about 15 minutes after I got there a Domino's guy shows up with pizzas for some guys....
As for the ending, I'm in the group that likes the movie ending better than the book. I agree killing more people helps and the world was already scared of Dr. Manhattan. He was also looked at as like a God and in the history of mankind what has kept people in line? Fear of God.

I also saw that Observe and Report with Seth Rogen and Anna Faris. How many mall cop movies do we need this year? I like Seth, I think he's a funny guy, but this looks dumb. Basically the "R" version of Paul Blart.
Oh, Angels & Demons too. Not interested in those books and stuff at all.
