If you were offended soooooo much by the Viscera segment, perhaps you shouldn't watch these shows:
- Family Guy - Simpsons - Futurama - The Honeymooners - Every soap opera ever made - The Man Show - Desperate Housewives - According to Jim
You know what, it's just easier to call you a 'tard and get over it.
It's television, not real life. Sheesh, maybe that's what you need.

I was at the Raw and the promo was over big time!
Was Vis signed to a full time contract? I read before he was on a pay per show deal. They would not put him in an angle if he was not signed right?

I think you feel threatened because I brought up an intelligent point that you're not comfortable with. Something like this should never be "over big time". THAT's the problem. It's the idiots in the audiences, and things like this breed more idiots. I'm sick of it.

If the way you've expressed youir "point" is what passes for intelligent....... you know what I'll skip the personal slam. Nowhere in any law does it say you have the right to NOT be offended. You see something on TV you don't like, then change the channel. Heck's it's the same thing I do everytime I see something I don't like on the boob tube, and you know what. I am almost never offended by a source of entertainment. Lowbrow entertainment at that. Now if you're so sick of the show and what they do, express it in the best possible way, by yet again changing the channel. Seems to me all your problems with a fictional situation could be solved by that simple act of pressing the button your remote. Now I'm curious does it offend you because it's on wrestling, or would it in any form of entertainment. Like if you watched a movie and the issue of sexual harrasment came up would you be offended. Or would you understand that it's simply part of the story, and accept it. If you choose the latter then why can't you do it for wrestling?

Now I'm curious does it offend you because it's on wrestling, or would it in any form of entertainment. Like if you watched a movie and the issue of sexual harrasment came up would you be offended? Just to play devil's advocate, I would suggest that it would depend on the context in which it's brought up. If it's being brought up on a show like JAG, Law & Order, or The West Wing, and being dealt with as the negative behavior that it is, then fine. Similarly, if it's brought up on a show like the Simpsons or The Family Guy, where the perpetrator is known to be an idiot and gets his just desserts in the end, then I can live with that too. In a wrestling context, therefore, using sexual harassment to get a guy over as a heel may work. It would be cheap heel heat, and it doesn't require a lot of creativity ... but this IS the WWE we're talking about here. If, on the other hand, the sexual harassment is being used to try to get some guy over as a face - as someone the fans are supposed to cheer on, rally behind and encourage - then I think there's a problem with the gimmick. Final Analysis: since we don't know which way WWE is going with Viscera (heel/face) we can't really say which of the above paragraphs the Viscera/Lillian angle fits into right now. We'll have to wait a while longer and see how this plays out.

How about: "Look at this weeks check, all I had to do was announce some wrestlers and act scared of a huge black guy for three minutes." Then he would say: "That's great dear, I made dinner but the soufflé has dropped." Lillian then gives her husband the mandible claw for not being able to keep a soufflé peak....

How about that french guy (don't feel like misspelling his name)? Hopefully he got a nice bonus for letting Big Pimp Daddy Vis grind him like that. On another note, Tax Collector, what was your opinon on the Godfather and the Hos?

Oh my LORD.
It's a pro wrestling angle. There has been better....there has been worse. JUST SHUT UP ABOUT IT ALREADY....who even cares? It was stupid and I would have already forgotten about it by now if not for everyone complaining. Get a life and find something better to do than complain on a goddamn message board about how your female anatomy hurts over seeing Viscera act like the fat black creep that he is on TELEVISION ON A SHOW THAT ISN'T EVEN REAL YEAH IT'S STUPID AND CORNY IT'S JUST ONE OF THOSE ANGLES THAT YOU SHAKE YOUR HEAD AT WITH A SMIRK AND TALK TO YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT HOW STUPID IT IS, IF YOU ARE HONESTLY OFFENDED YOU REALLY NEED TO GET A LIFE.
Edit: please don't call people jerks or idiots. I'm sure you can get your point across without the use of an insult. name-calling will not be tolerated. thanks.

You must have a Mac because my "X" is black not red. And please refrain from flaming.......because if you flame then the terrorists win.

I think this whole thing goes back to why the mainstream hates pro wrestling in the first place. Yes, everybody, even the fans, know it's all just an act but when it's presented as legitimate like this then it blurs the line between what's real and what's for show and people don't like not knowing what's what.

We'll have to wait a while longer and see how this plays out. That's right. People keep responding to me with "oh my god, I can't believe this guy is so offended", when, whether or not I'm personally offended is not really the point. Although, I think you're being very generous to the WWE by saying you don't know which way they're going with the angle. Certainly they could turn it all around at this point, but what's happened up to this point is, Viscera gets huge pops for squashing Trish, the heel women's champion, destroys Simon Dean, who has obviously been booked as a heel, and this whole scenario is what follows. The thing where he took the guys nachos was hilarious, I wish they would've just ended the segment there.

I find it funny people hate the viscarea gimmick but like the hussan gimmick. They are both heavily based in stereotypes.
