But I bet if a cruiserweight was released this place would be in an uproar......... Which will no doubt happen soon in the form of Shannon Moore.

LUTHER REIGNS WAS GOOD IN THE RING WITH AN AWESOME "FINISHER". LIKE OTHERS SAID THOUGH, HE NEEDS MIC WORK, DESPARATELY. HE MADE IT FOR AS LONG AS HE DID IN THE WWE BECAUSE OF HIS SIZE, 6'5 280 POUNDS. AND TOUGH. HE'S A BIG HOSS, HE MIGHT END UP IN TNA.

Once again WWE releases somebody better than the few new people they are bringing in.
Oh well we still have Chris "Masterbation face" Masters.

RIP PEAS I thought Luther was actually pretty decent. Even when I looked at him from a smark's point of view, he was still pretty good.

Once again WWE releases somebody better than the few new people they are bringing in. Really? I'd take MNM over Luther Reigns any day Let's be honest here, the guy was not really that great in the ring I have to admit I am suprised so many people are dissapointed, I underestimated his appeal?

I have to admit I am suprised so many people are dissapointed, I underestimated his appeal? Happens every time someone gets released. No matter how much they suck, everyone complains and talks about how great they were. I'm one of the few who will actually miss Luther

It's digusting to see the WWE fire a talented big man like Luther Reigns and bring in more vanilla midgets for the cruiserweight division which no one gives a rat's ass about aside from a few internet smarks.
Luther Reigns had much more charisma than boring gnomes like Essay Rios.

I'd rather see Luther then Essay Rios (though he's good not knowing English, last time I checked, isn't good.....unless you're Kamala) but Reigns aint gonna draw more then Super Crazy or Rey Mysterio.....

I'm gonna miss him and the peas. I used to love watching him gently sit a jobber on the top rope, only to shove the poor kid onto his head on the outside. I laughed every single time he did it.
I'm also going to miss the Michael Cole routine:
"He's been beaten, stabbed, slit from ear to ear, and left for dead...in and out of jail his whole life..."

Hey, I'm sad to see Luthor go. I have always been a huge fan of his work, because, well, I seen him wrestle back in his indy days before he went to the WWF.
Hey, wait a minute...that means...that means....HORSESHU WILL BE COMING BACK TO IMPACT ZONE WRESTLING!!!!
HORSESHU'S COMING HOME!!!!

Luther Reigns was easily the best overall hoss in the WWE.
He was pretty damn good with the stick and he regularly made me laugh.
His whole "I never celebrated Thanksgiving" speech is classic.
Good luck Luther....

I'm gonna miss Luther Reigns. The way he used to come out on Smackdown in his generic black tights with his generic entrance theme and his generic wrestling moveset. Don't feel too bad kids. He was in that Girl Next Door movie. He'll make a great generic bad guy in a film.

I'm not too upset by this release. He had potential though...it's too bad that WWE doesn't think enough of some of their performers to give them a chance to get over. They bring them up when they're too green, and then they put them on TV before they are ready.
I've been thinking about the "hoss" situation lately in WWE...I don't think its so much that they're big guys, it's that they're brought up before they're ready and they're put into a position where they can't do anything. For example, Mordecai was orginally brought up after 6 months in OVW never using the gimmick that he would use once he got to the big leagues. Then, they threw him on TV immediately and he never even had a chance to give a promo in his new character! How is that supposed to get over?
Contrast that with the greatest "home-grown" talent in the last ten years, Kurt Angle. Angle worked dark matches in WWE for over a year before he was put on TV. He cut promos on live audiences in house shows and dark matches before they finally put him on TV.
I'm not saying that everyone is a Kurt Angle, but if he wasn't ready after six months, how are any of these young guys (some of whom have never wrestled in front of a crowd) supposed to do it?

Sorry, I never saw anything in this guy and I'm glad he's gone. He didn't take up much TV time, but when he did I was interested.

I couldn't stand Luther when he came into the WWE. As I thought "Why the F', would you hire f'ing HORSESHUE!!!!".
But he won me over and of all the hosses he annoyed me the least and was pretty good on the mic.
And for the record, if he was fired for crappy ring work, JBL should've been fired 5 years ago. He's more ackward than Big Show.
