HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA And not have HHH be the "ELEVEN TIME WOORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAAAAMPION! BECAUSE I AM THAT DAMN GOOD!" Wow, you're a freakin genius. You bashed Triple H. That's so original. Must've taken you all of 2 seconds to come up with that.

As a matter of fact, it took 2 and a half.
But in all seriousness, that is an interesting idea. Although, I have to wonder, why would they book that fight over that of the world championship? That's almost as if they would be setting the champion up for failure.

I did consider that Batista may lose before then, but I think the chances of him retaining the title are good. Last year with Benoit, he held the title until Summerslam, I think. I figure that Batista's reign is at least as successful as Benoit's was, so I am guessing that Batista should be the champion at least throughout the summer.
You have a good point though, as Batista could lose to the gold rush tournament winner.

That's almost as if they would be setting the champion up for failure. They did the same thing last year when Triple H vs HBK's HIAC main evented as opposed to Benoit (Champion) vs Kane. Also, they had that crap Undertaker match against the Dudley Boys main event last year over JBL beating Guerrero for the SD World Title. WWE booking has never really trusted new 'world' champions for some reason, which is horrible and pathetic. I think someone strips Batista of the belt before Vengeance, and then Edge wresltes him at Vengeance or something stewipd.

Hey I just got an idea.
Edge wins Gold Rush Tournoment, but only after doing the following:
1- Somehow, he pulls an "immediate rematch clause" or something, but losed again, by DQ this time, when he nails Batista in the head with a brick. 2- He then uses his "world title shot any time he chooses" and pins Dave right then and there.
Then at Vengeance, the night starts off with Batista vs. Edge in a rematch, which Batista wins. Then later in the night, he fights HHH in the cell.
Somewhere along the way Triple H needs to challenge Dave to the match...
I don't know, it could work. Maybe...?

HA! Just watch WWE have Cena win both titles and unite them...is that better than Trips winning? I don't think so...

They are in no way setting up Batitsa like they did Benoit. I got a feeling Batitsa is going to have that belt for a while. They have basically turned him unbeatable.

And btw, don't say it loud, cos Vince could hear you and think that's a good idea... Back on topic: I think WWE is currently trying to create some alternatives in the main event scene to Triple H. They'd have Kane win the Gold Rush and beat Batista, just to give him the title back at the following PPV. Then throw Edge in. Hopefully this could leave HHH off the title chase for some months. But it depends on how well Batista can do without Triple H...
