Man, a Punisher gimmick would be sweet. At least he's going to try something new instead of trying to keep with his old WWE gimmick for the next 10 years (I'm looking at u, Honky Tonk Man!)  |

it is a gimmick like that, he talked all about it in an interview, i think its kick ass. I just dont like the fact that he cut his hair.
Oh and I meant that this should be more over to theother board.

I was listening to an Interview with Matt tonight on the L.A.W. and it looks like he's in better spirits (and I was a bit disappointed seeing as how I was in the mood for a bitter rantings).
Anyway he was bringing up the scar promo and the the angelic Diablo gimmick and it turns out that he has a new "sweet ass" submission he calls the scar (he's scarring him opponents etc.).

I don't know why Matt is creating this new persona. I always thought the promoter came up with the characters. For example, let's say Matt wanders into TNA and says "Here's my gimmick where I'm a overcoat wearing, gun shooting, guy who hangs out in the woods." Couldn't the TNA writing staff say "That's great, but we have our own gimmick for you. You will be wearing a flesh colored bodysuit and your name will be Peter Johnson."

I liked Matt Hardy....lol, sounds like I'm one of the very few. Sure, maybe he was hindered by his and Jeff's reputation of high-flying crap, but damn if he didn't have charisma. I loved the V1 gimmick, not at first, but it grew on me. I always liked his entrance/music. Plus I think he did well with that persona. WIth those new pictures, I thought they were somewhat disturbing. I think maybe he's calling back to his New Brood days. Personally, I think that's cool, the pics were kinda freaky. I just got back into wrestling this past week, after a 5 month hiatus, and was devastated to see him gone. I don't know the story, don't really feel the need to, he's gone, so he should move on to other wrestling endeavors. More power to ya Matt
