Rock = Much better mic skills than HHH However, The H is def the better wrestler. He has carried guys in the ring several times (most recently Batista). He carries more of the Sports aspect of "Sports Entertainment" while the Rock would have the Entertainment.
Back to the subject at hand, though. I don't think Michaels was being selfish either. He has dropped some matches lately and, besides, it's not like you're puting Gene Snitsky into the semi-finals, this is Shawn Frickin' Michaels. The match will be good no matter who he faces.

Until last night I HATED Shelton, after his match last night I respect him and want to see more, just not w/ the current best pure athlete who does things no one else can...Watch TNA-ROH, its annoying, otherwise last night Shelton got a new fan, me

See, I don't think Triple H is a good wrestler in my opinion. His style is too slow and methodical for me. I'll admit, HBK has had some terrific matches as of late, but where the issue lies is that HBK has to lose these matches clean in order to show the marks out there that this new generation of superstars can hang with the old guys and beat them in their own game.

Thee you thnext weetk!
I hate to think that the match was just another way to push HBK above everyone else. But I think back to the way it ended... It just seemed like a big jerky letdown to a great match.

You can give a guy the rub and still go over.
Michaels sold his ass off for Benjamin, even during the beginning when Shelton was winning the grappling and Shawn had to hang onto the ropes to get away from him. Plus Shelton controlled most of the match, Shawn only hit is signature moves.
Plus the announcers sold it like it was a desperation move for HBK.
I'm not saying it was right or wrong for HBK to go over, but he did give him a rub. Benjamin came out of the match looking much better.
Hell, I am even starting to become a believer in Benjamin beause of Mania and this match.
He just needs to work on his timing and mic skills and he will be awesome.

I just want to say HBK & Shelton was a great match - Had me on the edge of my seat
The ending to HHH & Benoit was funny too. Batista pulling the ropes away, HHH yelling "You son of a B****" before tapping had me laughing out loud

I got 30 seconds into reading that article and already have noticed mistakes.
Also the article seems to be heavily biased so I'd take what the person says with a grain of salt

To me, seems like he's dropped much of his attitude since his full-time return- like most people, you wise up with age.
But you can never satisfy the IWC.

without Randy Orton, I can see why they did it. However, I think that Shelton Benjamin should get a push, he's a hell of an athlete, probably the best there was in that ladder match during WM, I think he has serious potential.

I just saw trips tap to the worst looking scorpion deathlock ever. the only guys that use that hold right are Hart and Sting. maybe Edge.

He has had a push though it's not obvious, his matches are way different then the basic stuff that the rest of the rookies are putting out. Hell Benji's outshining some of the cruiserweights. He's also had the belt 6 going on 7 months. Plus the defeat to HBK was one of the few times he's lost in a singles match. HE's only lost to HBK and HHH, he's beaten pretty much anybody that's been in there with him. Plus he was made to look like HBK's equal not his bitch..

Didn't read this whole thread, but -
I don't get why Triple H gets 320923 Title reigns and everything but HBK is kept out of the Title scene completely most of the time until now. Yes, Triple H vs HBK has been done to death, but we automatically bitch about HBK in the Title scene when its A LOT more refreshing than Trips. As evidenced by last night, HBK can work a HELL of a match, with anyone, and damn well deserves to be there.
Did it ever occur to anyone that THE WRITERS TOLD HBK TO WIN, SO HE DID? Everytime an older main eventer wins, it DOESN'T MEAN HE'S USING BACKSTAGE STROKE. It means management usually puts time tested draws over rookies.
Okay, that's all.

Benoit can use it right, just NOT on a lot of guys. Wasn't there a time where Benoit did that move correctly?

For a guy that has as much backstage power as HHH has(bigger than what Hogan had in his prime) i think that he is fairly decent in his ways. It might be the fact that he is a heel but when he looses ,he looses emphatically.I mean just look at the past 2 manias. He tapped out at lat year's and he was left ,almost dead and bleeding,in this year's. O.k so he wants to break Flair's record but i think that the HHH haters are putting too much weigh at this.Times have changed.Hell if the Rock was wrestling(full time) he would also have a chance to break Flair's record. He was a 7 times champions in what( ) four years??? HHH might get on my nerves sometimes but he is nowhere near as annoying as other dominant wrestlers of the past.(who were made to look unbeatable) As I said elswhere, Flair isn't the one who holds the record. Hogan is. Seventeen title wins. 2 in AWA (check the wikipedia.com listing on Hogan if you don't believe me) 1 IWGP title reign in NJPW, 6 WWF reigns, and 8 WCW reigns. Plus if you want to count NWA South East's heavyweight title when it was altered into it's own belt if it ever was, that makes 18 world titles. *shrugs* Eithjer way, Hogan holds the record, not Flair.

Simple: The Rock is a much, much, much better wrestler and entertianer then Triple H could ever dream of being. Triple H is a one-note, one-gimmick person, were as the rock has 3 distinct methods (sympathic Babyface, arrogant movie-star heel and tweener) that he can slide between like a greased deaf lawyer (Good to be back America). Trips is where he is because he's stuck around those with power. What does that have to do with anything??I just pointed out that if you are a star,it is easy to be a multiple times champion in the current era of the WWE. Honestly though,as much as i like the rock,he is nowhere near the wrestler HHH is.Better entertainer, yes and BY FAR but better wrestler...NO.In fact the rock is not even an average wrestler...
