Sam Neill is an awesome, awesome selection.
I remember randomly turning on Sci-Fi on morning and discovering a movie that was already half over...but I couldn't turn away. It was "In The Mouth of Madness" and Neill was just amazing in it.
And might I say, I look forward to seeing Mega Shark v. Giant Octopus when it most likely shows up on Sci-Fi as a movie of the week.

Man, I've not watched the Omen trilogy in years. Need to throw them on again someday. Omen II was brilliant, IMO- Damien coming to terms with who he is, the ending was awesome too.
I liked how they had a crow as the beacon of doom in part II instead of a dog.

Some one finally posted the F13 2009 theme on YouTube. The first minute of this alone is so chilling.

I really didn't like Damien: Omen II for a long time, but it grew on me a lot over the past year or so to the point that now I like it better than the first film (I still like The Final Conflict the best out of the whole series, due to Sam "The Man" Neill being in it ;D). Jonathan Scott-Taylor is so awesome in that movie. I dare say that it might be one of the best child performances I've EVER seen. The crow, as you said, is also a very nice twist from the original film, and the scene where the reporter bites the bullet on the highway is some very disturbing, powerful stuff.

There are talks of a Re-Animator remake and it could be in 3-D

There are talks of a Re-Animator remake and it could be in 3-D Oh good God...allow me to revert to my former "All remakes are teh suckzorz!!1!!" status and say that Re-Animator was JUST FINE the way it was. Any attempts to slickify THAT film up is just asking for disaster.

Well, well...looks like I'm late to the party (as usual). Anyway... 1.) I knew Barker and Hitchcock were going to get inducted! And deservedly so. Didn't expect to see Sam Neill there, but you gave him a great write-up, and I could see why he would get in. Looks like I'm gonna have to review a bunch of Vincent Price and Lucio Fulci films this time out, in an effort to make sure they get inducted! 2.) As I've often said, I have nothing against the concept of remakes...but I'm quite attached to Jeffrey Combs and Stuart Gordon's "Re-Animator." I wouldn't mind seeing a more "serious" Re-Animator film, and I wasn't particularly fond of part 3 of the series "Beyond Re-Animator" so I think there's a bit of room for a different tweaking of the story. If they treat it as a new adaptation of the Lovecraft stories, that might work, rather than a straight-up remake of Stuart Gordon's movie.

A straight-up remake of Gordon's movie just seems so unnecessary. I'd too rather it be a new adaption instead.

I definitely credit the Omen series with introducing more creative and visually impressive deaths to horror films, the likes of which can still be seen in films like Saw ot the Final Destination series. The most disturbing scene for me was in the first Omen when Robert Thorn uncovers the skeleton of his baby. No blood, no gore just the image of that tiny skeleton is was more haunting. Outside of the trilogy, The Awakening was.......ok-ish, the remake I actually liked.

I actually just went back to my slasher roots in my own buying orgy - I finally got around to adding the original Candyman and Nightbreed to my collection - and I think that now, finally, I have to get around to adding some Lucio Fulci to it. Anybody who makes a movie called The New York Ripper is likely eighteen levels of awesome. ;D

TR you should make a "Theme Song/Score" wing to your Horror Hall of Fame. Of course this should be intro numero uno imho.
;D

TR should also do a Scary/Not Scary thread series like the Funny/Not Funny thread series.
On that note: re-making Re-Animator? Re-diculous!

Hooray a new Horror thread. I just couldn't keep up with the last one, and this gives me a chance to rectify that.
Anyway nice three inductions.
So am I the only one to break down and watch Feast 3? Twasn't bad.. Wasn't really good either of though.
Tonight I shall watch The Last Man on Earth, arguably the best adaptation of I Am Legend, and since it's in the public domain, it's a free download. What are you're guys' thoughts on this flick?

Feast 3 just came out a week or two ago BRB, so you should be able to find that whereever DVDs are sold as of now.
