This is my favorite part. That snorking bitch deserved everything she got, as did everybody else. What did the security guards do to deserve getting assaulted? Don't say "not doing their jobs" either. If you're doing a poor job at work that doesn't give me an excuse to come over and beat your ass.

Yeah because the WWE has NEVER spun a story to make their talent and/or the company look better. Seriously, if anything Jericho fled the scene. isn't that what you kept telling him to do anyways? Now, more than ever...

Fine, they still don't deserve to be assaulted. I can't say I blame Jericho, but they didn't deserve it.

dont you think people would have learnt by now not to push those canadian wrestlers Lance Storm would like to file an amicus brief, and I quote: Don't blame Canada. Blame yourselves.

According to the Observer the incident was discussed on Fox News: Obviously the attorney didn't see the whole thing, or else he wouldn't have the wrong facts.

I wonder if he'll face any discipline from the company, either financial or on TV, or both.
I don't see him being terminated over this, but I could see him fined or buried on TV for a while, or both.

According to the Observer the incident was discussed on Fox News: I believe the host was Megyn Kelly, who is an attorney herself. I have to take Jericho's side here too. If you feel yourself, or even your property threatened and you are unable to escape or flee, then you are authorized to defend youself. Whether the rental car is considered his property or not, I don't know. It sounds as though the people were blocking Jericho's car from leaving, which would make flight or escape impossible. If they were banging on the hood of his car and surrounding his vehicle as described, then I could see how he could feel threatened. It's not like the crowd was chanting, "We're going to surround your car, bang on it, spit at you, hurl insults, and not allow you to get away, BUT we promise not to hurt you." I think he acted within his rights, but you know that if this goes before a jury, they're not going to like him just because he's a wrestler.

It seems to me that Jericho did the classic thing in an out-of-control situation where his physical safety was compromised. People pointing out Jericho acting wildly are correct. When one is outnumbered in a physical altercation one must take any advantage one can. In this case the psychological advantage of acting recklessly is designed to frighten the masses into leaving you alone. Animals use this tactic when they are in a corner. I don't see how anyone can blame Jericho for protecting himself to the best he can when surrounded by hostile agents attempting to harm him.

I'm on Jericho's side and everything, but I'd back off of security. I myself am a security officer, and (in the state of New Jersey, anyway), there are a set of strict post orders we have to follow, one of which being the ambiguous "use of force" policy. This order basically states that I am not allowed to lay my hand on anyone for any reason, even if attacked first. I basically have to take whatever comes my way without retaliation. Now, I pray that I never get provoked, because if I'm assaulted in one way or another, I WILL DEFEND MYSELF...stupidly enough, this is grounds for termination (even if I defend myself) and I could also be mired in a lawsuit.
Now, I'm not giving security a free pass either...but security is basically an "illusion" that you are safe. We're not armed...all we have is the local authorities. Maybe this factored into security's thinking a bit, hmm?

I've been at concerts when people working security have grabbed people and thrown them out of the door, once they got drunk, rowdy and obnoxious. At least, they should have been able to pull the men and woman away from him, right?

I'm ignoring that policy though if I should ever get a chance, because it's completely insane. Jericho said knock you out!

The thing is I know someone that is involved in an assault case in similar circumstances. A group of people that this guy knew came up to him, words were exchanged and one guy in the group shoved my friend. So my friend punches the guy, despite being the one provoked, but guess who's the one arrested for assault? He hasn't been charged as he has to go back in a month to find out but the justice system has very strict guidelines on the use of force, especially punching someone even if you were provoked so we shall see if anything happens to Jericho.

.. but you do not hit a woman. Period. This is an incredibly anarchistic and ignorant attitude that does nothing more than enable women to be bullies. A bully hits someone that cannot defend themselves. Any woman who strikes a man thinking she should be immune from reprisal because of her gender is a bully. And this attitude enables women to be bullies, and brings us women like the 'star' of this video.
