I had a GREAT Steel Cage match last night between Triple H (SVR) and Ric Flair (LOW). Cage matches in this game are fantastic..improved over SVR in terms of new animations anyway.

What achievement do you have to do to unlock the steel cage for exhibition matches? Also is it insanely hard to ever kick out or am I doing something wrong? I've tried tapping the buttons and holding them down yet I still can never kick out in time, regardless if I've got more strength left than my opponent.

If the WWE and THQ did a other Legends game maybe next time do a game based on the wrestling Legends than on wrestlemaria. Next time I like to said I like to see the King as a wrestler and not as play by play I like see them to keep JR for the Play by Play. Maybe they could try to get Paul Heyman back to help do the play by play in the game just like in the WWE and WCW. I said stay away form jesse ventura to do the play by play because if you have seen what type of loon he is now you see why it best to stay away. Maybe play by play by JR and Joey Styles could kick major ass for a game like this

Just got this game and I have no clue what I'm doing, lol. I tried to do as the book says and all i seem to do is hit the same two moves on standing grabble. Then one move running and a down move.
Kicking out I have no idea how that works. I never could kickout. I tried three matches and none of them lasted that long. The longest I lasted was with HTM against Dusty Rhodes. I some how bloodied Dusty but when I got him down I couldn't get even a one count.

WTF... I'm at full power as Undertaker vs. Perfect who's been at zero for several minutes, and I lose to a simple rollup. How lame. Is there some trick to kicking out or something? Holding down A seems to make the meter move fastest so that's all I do.

When trying to kick out, you can either mash buttons or hold a single button and let go at the appropriate time. If you're healthy, you can easily mash buttons until the line reaches the kick-out area in the circle. But when you're messed up and button-mashing won't cut it, you'll have to hold a button until the green line reaches the kick-out window, then you let go of the button. Was Greg Valentine ever as ripped in real life as he is in this game? King Kong Bundy is even worse in my opinion. Seriously! Why do they have to make EVERYONE in this game ripped? How hard is it just to program a fat dude? In related news, I had a real competitive, back-and-forth singles match between Hogan (me) and Piper (CPU) after we were the last two in the RR and I threw him out. He had me pinned so many times but I was able to kick out in time and take him down and retain the title after THREE leg drops, lol. Then we had a rematch for the title in the Cell and I played Piper. He slammed me through the roof of the cell but I still came back and made him tap out to the sleeper, marking the first title change I've made in this game thus far.

It's a fun game. It's not great, but I don't regret buying it.

Why is the Honky Tonk Man so hard to beat?
And yes it is impossible to kick out!

The game is ok. I have some serious qualms with the inaccuracies in it regarding the entrances, and some of the models of the characters (Bundy being the best example). It is a fun game once you get used to it, and master the controls. However, I still can't figure out how to kick out of most pins, and I absolutely HATE how you can't run while outside, and you have to do a stupid button sequence thing just to get a chair or go back to the ringside area. Also, why the f*** do you have to always throw your opponent back in the ring everytime you do a move on the steps or announce table? That's stupid and annoying as hell!

so i've just thought. Why aren't Steamboat and Santana in this game? They both played huge roles in the early manias and are on good terms with WWE (hell Steamboat still works for them)

They both played huge roles in the early manias and are on good terms with WWE (hell Steamboat still works for them) Looking at it from a sheer business perspective, if THQ is looking to make this a yearly offering, they would need to hold back on some people to make next years worth buying. It's not like the SVR series where there is constant turnover in the roster, they are dealing with a limited number of people they can use and throwing them all in a single game would limit franchising possibilities. You could add another Wrestlemania every year but, between people who wouldn't want their likeness in the game, people from the previous 'Manias that were already added and, special circumstances you wouldn't have too many. That or DLC?

just done a 6 man battle royal for the wwe title with all A.I. It had Rock (champion), Austin, Hogan, Hart, Undertaker and a randomly selected guy (closed my eyes and picked someone) The mystery guy turned out to be Morrison who won the match. damn.

I'll try that when I get a chance to play it again after work. I'm not used to the other controls. I'm still so used to the SVR games I seem to go back to them during the matches. When I know it should be simpler.

Has anybody else been making jobbers just to beat the crap out of them? It really adds to the realism of the game.

So I just beat WrestleMania Tour or whatever it's called. I got 100% objectives in every match except for Rock/Austin. It took 30 minutes to get everything, and out of desperation I reversed his grapple, knocked him down and quickly hit a submission to get him to submit. Here I am thinking I got 100% when it turns out I had to PIN Rock, not just beat him.
I was super pissed and decided to play everything else before I go back. Anybody know what you unlock when you 100% Rock/Austin? I'm guessing it's another movie, because I think there is an achivement for watching all movies, yet I did that and nothing came up. Something tells me i'm missing some, or I need to go into Legend mode to unlock more?
Anyways, I have now mastered the game, much like SvR I find the normal difficulty way too easy. The only time I had problems was when I had to let the cpu kick my butt a bit to get some objectives.
