The "no touch" rule was stupid since a week later they were attacking each other.

Yeah, Randy really didn't have any issues with Shane kicking his ass. None whatsoever... People's arrogance in this thread amazes me. Orton just gave a 100% honest interview. He said he purposely kicked Vince hard, he said the stipulations surrounding the main event at Mania hurt it, and he openly admitted that some fans are tired of HHH. If he had real problems with Shane looking strong, considering everything else he said, I think he would have said so. The fact is though that Orton knows what needs to be done to sell a match, which is why he knew he had to lose at Mania also.

Lay off the donuts and check the ego or Lose your job
Good job Manu. He was nothing special. Probably had the highest point of his career just being next to Orton.

True especially as this is the man who (non-kayfabe) criticised Triple H in an interview for the Power Slam magazine last year admitting, amongst other things, that Umaga wasn't happy when he discovered that he'd be drafted to Smackdown along with Trips. Orton is probably one of the more outspoken main-eventers they've ever had (alongside Austin, Batista and HHH himself) and holds no opinion back.

He said that its the minority that are tired of him, called him the 'ultimate babyface', and took a shot at 'smart' fans saying that they always want to see the top guy shot down. Just to clarify before we have millions of threads saying that Orton has come out and said that everyone is sick of HHH.

The point is though that Orton is, as baerrt said, one of the most outspoken main eventers there is. If he truly had a problem with Shane, he would have said so, considering everything he has said not only in that interview but in the past as well. It just bemuses me that some people are so sure of their knowledge of the business, despite never setting foot near it, that THEY know 'for sure' that Shane 'shouldn't' have looked strong, and even though Orton is as frank as they come, he is obviously lying, because these random fans obviously know more than Orton does.

Man, Randy Orton is sounding like a company man these days. It's cool to see someone who used to have some behavior problems and a little bit of an attitude act like a real WWE Champion.
