To reward people who participate. Gives more of an incentive to be involved. Also, did Kong's team not win that? By my count, they did. What gives? Yeah, Kong got the third vote with the lariat on Christy. So apparently by winning, they actually lost, because they didn't pin the right person, or maybe they had to lose the match to advance.
