ROH has always seemed to exist following a smart, incremental business model; don't live outside your means, keep expanding the audience as much as possible so that, bit by bit, you can acquire more to both improve the product, and to draw even more fans by investing in yourself and your product.
In other words: ECW, for all it's greatness, had a bit of a "right place, right time" vibe, in that, like a brilliant flash, it appeared when nobody expected it, ran on that platform for a handful of years, but then didn't know how to adapt when people's shock from the "flash" started to wear away.
ROH almost went through that recently, but their sound business model has allowed them to survive that period of wandering in the wilderness, and reload for a new direction forward.
ROH is going to be fine. I think that's all there is to it.

Anyone tell this dickbag that the last ROH show had their highest attendance (and hottest crowd I've ever been to a live event with) ever?

Who gives a rat's ass about Mark f***in' Madden's opinion on anything, much less ROH?

Leave Madden alone. If not for him, we would never have the brilliance that was "The Spin A Roonie", and Don West wouldn't have had a mentor to follow after.

Mark Madden... now there's a name I'd like to forget again.
I really can't take anything this guy says seriously.

I hate to pull this, but if this guy is so smart, what has he done lately in wrestling? Okay, now what has done that was worth piss? He worked at ESPN 1250 in Pittsburgh as a midday host for a number of years. He got great ratings, which is notable due to the fact that the station in question has horrible reception. He was canned early last year after making a controversial comment about Ted Kennedy's "scandalous past," shall we say. Rumor has it that it was the ESPN big brass in Connecticut that pulled the trigger. He now does midday talk on Penguins flagship/ corporate modern rock station WXDX. He also writes a weekly column for the Beaver County Times. As far as Madden and wrestling goes... he's a joke. When the local media needs an opinion about wrestling, they don't go to him. They go to the "other" radio personality with ring experience, morning drive mainstay/IWC founder Bubba the Bulldog. Between the two of them, I, as a fan, value Bubba's opinion much more than Madden's. Why? Unlike Madden, Bubba has worked, booked, and promoted shows in the past. Madden, on the other hand, is just "some guy" who got a dream job.
