Boiler, I like your fire, but realistically I think that voting is just something that should go untampered with. The fact is that all of us that pay attention to the storylines know when a reign should come to an end, and although some title reigns are long, it lends to make a new champions reign exciting because he will have a chance to have his title reign. You know, make it his title reign, and I like that. It has a way of working itself out naturally and that's part of the appeal for me. You said it better than I possibly could.

I think the Heatz!!1 title should be retired until we get 5-10 more new members (it's only a matter of time) and then reintroduced into a TV title that is defended on every show. It would be an exciting way to keep an entire lower card in a feud with a champion and NOT just one or two guys. You have 5-6 guys going after that title, fighting each other for dibs on shots, and it just keeps the lower card seriously interesting while showing them the ropes of the fed and can also hotshot someone with the ability to cut great promos and write decent matches. It just makes sense to me, but that's just me.

As for the long title reigns, I don't really mind it. I think it would kill the unpredictability of it a little if we were pretty much guaranteed a title change at each PPV. I can see where you're coming from there. Of course, it's not like we talk to each other over who to vote for? ...or do we? Because the idea is that let's say that all the titles are up, and you decide to retain all of the titles, I vote to change all of the titles, but let's say a third guy, we'll say littlenaitch, since he appears to be in this particular discussion, votes to retain all but one, but who knows which one he picks? That's the key: it's still a secret ballot vote, and thusly no one knows who's voting for whom and that furthermore can mean that everyone changes titles or everyone retains because not everyone was voting to change the same title. Once again, the idea behind it is to give the idea of title switches being frequent enough to happen to anyone, which I theorize is important for new members to feel.

But anywho, it's not necessarily about tampering with votes and as I said in my last post it's about giving just enough fluctuation that keeps new members here. And as someone who also does pay attention to angles, I agree that over time one gains a sort of sixth sense on when things should change, but I'm not sure how new members approach it. Come to think of it, maybe some of them ought to pipe in about it.

That reminds me of an interesting thought exercise that I keep forgetting to post about:
Does anyone ever think about what their characters' shoot personalities are like?

I think that kinda does happen already brb. Only evil m knows the results of the voting so let's say you vote to change all the belts, and i vote to change all but one, that's kinda how we're already doing it. Now I probably confused everyone cause I think I confused myself, lol.

Also there have been short title reigns when it fitted the storyline. The Non American Heroes only held the tag belts for a month before they were put on Whitey and TTS which worked well for all 4 involved because the NAH at the time didn't need the tag belts to get over.

I just remebered something, we completely dropped the storyline of me wanting revenge against Stryker who made his return by attacking me, giving me that concussion which lead to Seth stealing the World Title from me.

That is basically what I mean - in the end, the idea is to have a sense of shaking things up, that's all I actually meant.
It's all good though.

Just had a goofy thought there: what if you remember that during the match, especially if you don't win it and the revelation costs you the match?

I think I allude to Square's a bit, theres a definate backstory for Square prior to WWCF I'm now pondering what BRB's personality really is like backstage. Maybe he's like JBL and is just a big bully, or maybe he's like the Road Warriors and is on all kinds of drugs, or maybe he's like The Big Show and seems to be an all-around nice guy. Now I'm starting to think of what his shoot name is, this is getting a bit geeky, but then, I play tabletop games so I'm used to thoughts like this.

I don't mind seeing the Heatz! Title go, but it does mean that unless more tag teams are formed, some people won't be in contention for a title, at least for a while anyway. I feel the Heatz! Title served a decent purpose in that it helps to establish newer guys, like Jay Carroll for example. But yeah, as I mentioned, a couple more tag teams and we've got ourselves a nice little division there, full of teams who promo frequently. As for the long title reigns, I don't really mind it. I think it would kill the unpredictability of it a little if we were pretty much guaranteed a title change at each PPV. This. In WCWWE, from the very beginning, up until this past June, the World Title changed hands every month, to the point that it became a running joke. The Women's Title seemed more important for a while. Long title reigns can be beneficial, is basically my point.

That could lead to the GookerMania 3 main event, lol I can picture it now: you're ready to go for the kill on Drakin, when suddenly a lightbulb seems to turn on in your head, and a look washes over your face as if to say, "Hey, wait a second!" and then Motor-Colt rolls you up for the 1-2-3! Now there's a finish if I ever saw one! And then the next week you can appear on the Boiler Room and tell the WWCF Megaverse all about it!

Ah, I came in about 3/4 of a year ago I believe, so while I have seen titles change hands, I didn't see long reigns but I didn't see rapid exchanges either. Once again though, it's about theoretically maintaining new member interest.

Mlo has the longets reign and I have the second longest as we have only had 6 World Heavyweight Champions in the year and a half that we've been around.
