I find both somewhat charming. But I like the accordion more since its more versatile.

Accordions are awesome. However, Bagpipes do suck.

When I was in kindergarten, I had to play the triangle. I think that says a lot about the man I am today

Personally I hate it when people constantly bad mouth the oboe. Without its clear and penetrating voice Peter, and the Wolf would be a duck short.

both bagpipes and the accordion are fine instruments. I've heard bagpipe renditions of Amazing Grace that were very moving indeed. However I have to give the nod to the Accordion for one very ungodly awesome reason

Might sound like a stereotypical Scotsman here but I`m going with bagpipes. While they might be the worst sounding instrument when played poorly, very few things can top a pipe band for sound.
I was at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo this year. I`d only ever heard pipe bands at football matches or gala days etc so to hear proper armed forces bands playing, coupled with the visual spectacle of the formation marching was great. Best night out I`ve had in years.

I like both. Most people who put the instruments down, most likely, don't listen to them often.

I like them both, but bagpipes just sound so sad. The accordion is awesome, as is anyone who plays one (see: Yankovic, Al and Urkel, Steve).

Bagpipes. I love the sound of them, and they can elicit the perfect emotion for a sad moment.

I like both, but I think I prefer the accordion because it has a stronger influence on more genres of music.

I like both, but I prefer the pipes a little more.

People put down the bag pipes? What the hell is wrong with them? Bag pipes are sheer awesome. Ever hear Van Halen or Metallica played on the pipes? It sounds freaking brilliant.
I think the violin and the clarinet are two instruments that unfairly get put down more than they should

I think both are awesome but they pale in comparison to the Moog.

Accordions are actually pretty awesome. About 5 years ago I went to an Anime con, where this guy was wandering around with one. The Accordion perfectly reproduces 16/8 bit music and he was just playing every song from back in the day perfectly. Proved to me that the Accordion is one bad ass instrument.
