Funny thing was, a buddy of my burst out laughing when Austin battered his way thru the back door, just when the camera swung away from the couch. I'm like, 'WTF you laughing at?'. Well he saw Pillman's double-door fridge by the entrance as the camera panned by and thought Austin was gonna burst outta the with shelf racks, lettuce leaves hangin off, and icicles from his goatee and blue skin. That's the way he put it anyways. This is Steve Austin we're talking about, NOT THE KOOL AID GUY!

I think it was both. It came off funnier when Austin did the same stuff to Vince in 1998. In 1996, me and my dad didn't like Pillman, nor Austin - so it came off like "trash." In retrospect, I still think it went a little too far. Then again, I thought them killing off Al Davis . . . err Wilson was "retarded" and tasteless. As was the whole Vince exploding limo thing too.

I thought it was really cutting edge, and I was marking for Pillman hard because Austin was such an a-hole. I didn't understand why the fans cheered for him and why he got to win all the time. I was really hoping Pillman would scare him with the gun and beat the snot out of him later.
Sadly, nothing ever really developed and I never did become a full fledged Pillman fan. I can't even remember too many matches he was in before his tragic death.
