What is this? I read the description and it sounds like a mini-movie of some sort. Is Sting even in this? Are there any matches in this? Is it worth owning?

It is a bio-flick of Sting that he stars in and has a heavy religious theme to it. There are no matches on it but there are many clips of his WCW matches on it. The plot and his acting leave a lot to be desired.

I think am right in saying there is a book as well as the movie. If you're expecting a wrestling movie don't buy it, although there is tiny bits of archive footage from WCW (Don't know how he got premission to use it but he did) & and "re-created" matches that are done in an empty room with a wrestling ring with help from TNA talent. It's more about his struggles, his addiction to prescription medication & confessing his problems to his wife & his search of finding happiness & peace which of course led him to finding Christ. If you are looking for a testimony or searching for Christ yourself or if you are just interested in how Sting became a born again christian this is your movie. I always mean to sit down & watch it fully myself but I never have, I seen clips etc... so I can't really talk about the acting but it is a low budget flick so dont expect Kate Mulgrew/Roger Moore type performances (They are my favourite actors! ;D) It also brings you one of the most iconic images in film history! Let me know what you decide, am really interested in what people think about this movie.

I wrote on it for the site, lol. LOTS of padding with stock footage and random montages. And the liberties taken with wrestling history, for someone in the know, can be annoying. The writer of the movie also doesn't seem to like wrestling fans, as with most of these films.

It's a pretty bad movie. The best part is the interview with the kid wearing the face paint. And when THAT'S the best part of the movie, you're in trouble.

I actually have the book. Its pretty short and he talks about The Warrior a bunch. Its mostly about God and his relationship with his wife

It sounds more like the wrestling side of it is not the big attraction.

I watched it on Netflix one day and didn't get through very much of it. I went back the next day to give it another shot and same thing, didn't care for it. Just all around bad. From the acting that felt forced to the storyline which seemed odd and jumped around a bit too much. Oh and I do not like that style of cinematography that makes a film look like a music video, either.

Got it in the mail turning it on right now.... I'm scared.
Nope. I'm to big of a Sting mark, I enjoyed it. I'm not saying its great by anymeans. I'm happy I got around to seeing it, Sting just comes across as a badass in some parts, and also the reactions to the reports or the guy in the rafters are priceless. Loved seeing all the old WCW footage.
Just as I was getting bored by the young Sting half, which was enjoyable in a cheesy way. Sting playing himself kept my interest for the rest of the movie. A decent cheap bio pic, I guess my expectaions were really low, not as much bible stuff as I thought there would be. But it did felt they had to end it somewhere, so the random dream and quick ending of him on the floor in the hotel room made sence.
I dont think Ill ever watch it again though.

I thought the BEST part of it was wacky Sting shilling merchandise in a business suit, with full Sting facepaint on.
