We don't have to lynch anyone -- and killing random people will not help our cause.

That's basically the same thing I said a few posts back, I just didn't want to push for a no lynch with out any one else somewhat agreeing.
Vote: No Lynch

Sorry I haven't been around; I'm on vacation and have been driving a lot the past 10 days. Not a lot of Internet time. I'll be back later with a better post, but before I go I'd like to say that a No Lynch right now is a terrible idea. We were lucky to have a day start, and to give the advantage right back to the Mafia is definitely the wrong play. We'll be giving them a free night kill and we'll still have little information to go on the next Day. A no lynch is almost never the right play, and certainly not on the first Day. That's basically the same thing I said a few posts back, I just didn't want to push for a no lynch with out any one else somewhat agreeing. Vote: No Lynch FoS Dom. This sounds incredibly scummy. You're basically saying, "I didn't want to push for something that hurts the town until someone else did first."

Dave a No Lynch does not hurt the town. Lynching someone based off of the fact that you want to lynch someone in hopes that you do hit mafia does. The reason I waited for someone else to at least mention the fact that we have the ability to no lynch is because if one person says it they automatically get labeled scum, but if we actually have people think and they realize it can help us than there is a better chance of town winning this game. You can say what you want about it being a bad move, but tell me what's worse. Having a first day with really no talk yet lynching someone just for a lynch or realizing that the night phase benefits the town just as much as it benefits the mafia.

I have to disagree with dom on this one. While this is indeed a game of strategy, you also can't ignore the odds. with 15 people there are probably 3 mafia. Lynching someone gives us a 3/15 (1/5) chance of lynching mafia. No lynching gives us ZERO chance of removing mafia. Giving mafia the opportunity for a free night kill without attempting to lynch one of them is a bad move.
I personally say better to try and fail than not try at all.

See stuff like that is what has led to town losses in the las few games I have played. When you look at it from a numbers standpoint. A 1/5 odd of hitting mafia is not that great especially with a 4/5 chance of town. Add in the fact that we could be wrong about who we lynch and end up with two dead. one from lynch one from mafia at night and well that already drops our chances of winning. First phase should be used to see how people react to pressure, the following phases should be more thought out.

With talk stalling, I'm going to institute a deadline of Wed Aug 12th at 11:59 PM Mountain Time Zone (I'll leave you to figure out time zones, sorry) That would be in about 10 hours or so.

First phase should be used to see how people react to pressure, the following phases should be more thought out. If that's true, why didn't you apply more pressure to players this first Day? The closest you came was to accuse grbjazzman of bandwagonry, then venture that there might be a connection between him and theotherkevin. That's it. No vote, no fos, not even a follow-up post. No townie should ever feel like his life cannot be sacrificed for the greater good. Remember, the town doesn't win more if they have five remaining compared to four. Every townie should be willing to trade his life for the opportunity to nab scum. I am NOT advocating a lynch for the sake of a lynch; that's absurd. What am I saying is we need to analyze posts and make informed votes. We can dissect voting patterns, and the information gained from the previous Day's lynch is more beneficial than any gains from having one more player alive. Fact is, most first Day lynches hit Town. Sad but true. But to wait until the percentages favor hitting scum wastes time and plays right into the Mafia's hands. UnvoteOk, we are really throwing votes around here all willy nilly... so I'll join the party! VOTE: The Other Kevin Take your vote back Kevin and I'll retract mine "Everyone else is joke voting" to disguise OMGUS voting. UNVOTE: The Other KevinVOTE: Real Folk Bruce Immediately jumping on Bruce in the very first post after I accused Bruce of vote pressuring. Your point against me is very vaild, as is your idea to end joke voting therefore... UNVOTE: Real Folk Bruce. Maybe I was too quick to play the bandwagon card, but I know that I'm not really of any harm to anyone... yet Others have jumped on this post before I have, but it's worth revisiting. "Too quick to bandwagon"? "No harm to anyone ... yet"? My scumdar is going crazy. Quick voting and unvoting is characteristic of scum. It's not a guarantee, but you're looking like the most obvious scum right now. Vote: grbjazzman.

Deadline Has (more than) passed. No lynch.
I'll have a Day One write up in a few hours. (Won't be much more than a flavor text one.) After that it's night.
If you have a night ability, and DON'T plan to use it, please send me that fact as well... the faster I get all actions the faster the night is.
Night Deadline is Saturday at Midnight (mountain time zone)

It's been a busy day in Dusty Spoke. Jag's death has been a drain on the town and accusations are flying around.
The town however can't come to any conclussion on what to do.
Meanwhile the Mafia are laughing in glee at what the night will bring.

OK, I'm 99% sure I've got all night actions. I'll try to get the night results sent after work tonight, and a write up shortly after that.

The night has been a fretfull one for most of the Town of Dusty Spoke.
However, it has also been a busy one. Robbin James is wandering around the town, looking for her one true love. Justin. Justin Stone?. Young Robbins search is inturrupted though.
“Well, Well, Well. What's a purty young thang like you doing out here on a cold night like this?”
Clifton Barker leers at young Ribbin.
“Fortune told me, 'Women will be your weakness, Cliff.' Well looking at you, Ma'am. I can see that he was right.”
Robbin slowly backs away from Cliff, who's getting just a little close for comfrot.
“You.. You get away from me. Justin will be here soon. He'll protect me.”
Cliff sighs. He reaches into his pockett and pulls out his knife.
“Why must they always deny me.”
Cliff starts to whistle as he kills poor Robbin.
DEAD Al Bundy Robbin James Potential Mason.
**Meanwhile in another part of town.**
”Mesa” Palmer is looking for those scoundrels who stole his beloved Donkey Besse. He's seen rifling through some luggage when he finds a clue.
“Hoooo Doggies. That's a sweet clue”
**Back at the murder scene**
“Nooooooooo!”
Justin Stone has found the dead body of Robbing James.
Teers flow down his cheeks as Justin Stone promises revenge on his girls killers.
It is now Day 2

Hmmm, I assume that one of the mafia is someone from the last game. They picked off someone who survived to the very end as scum so they wouldn't want someone that resourceful to be left unchecked.
I do-so say that I am boned tonight.

Based on the fact that Tim and Al died, I'm thinking that D-lirious might be mafia. He constantly brings up the fact that he wasn't able to get him last game, and this might be his chance.
