Do we need another historical movie where we already know the outcome? Okay, I was entertained by 300 (cough, comic book movie, cough) and bored to death by Titanic and The Aviator.
It may appeal to some, but it just doesn't feel like my cup of tea.

It may appeal to some, but it just doesn't feel like my cup of tea. I'm a history nut, so I would ordinarily consider an Earhart biopic, but this...f*** no. Sad thing is, it really has nothing to do with the movie, although I have a feeling liberties will be taken. I'm more afraid of winding up behind people similar to those I sat near when dragged to Titanic all those years ago, the ones wo say (and mean) "What do you think'll happen?" I can hear the shreiked "OMG"'s when Earhart's plane disappears, with genuine surprise from some that it didn't have a happy ending. |
