Since everybody follows WWE, I am assuming nobody needs any clarification on this subject. I thought RAW in 2008 was terrible, but this year has decreased in quality tenfold.

--Done almost nothing with the midcard. --Done even less with the main event. --Moved two of the best parts of the show (Punk and Jericho) to SmackDown!. --Everybody's treated like a joke.
I doubt that "RAW 2009" could be actually nominated, but if it could, it'd be a damn viable candidate. Seriously, if so, the whole Gooker vote would be the following:
2009 Gooker Award --WWE Monday Night RAW --TNA Choose up to two.

While this has been a very subpar year for RAW, I don't think the entire year is worth of a Gooker. There's been some good among the festering crap, and I think it's a bit unrealistic and broad to nominate an entire brand for the Gooker unless it's REALLY terrible.

Problem is, Gookers tend to go to things that are absolutely bad, but fascinating to watch in their badness. RAW as a whole is simply lazy and dull.
How about:
RAW is ZZ Top and RAW is Piven as introductions? Both of those were among the worst RAWs ever made.

While I don't think the whole year should be nominated, I think the whole guest host deal could be a viable candidate, at least at this moment anyways. If the hosts were all wrestlers or legends then it would be awesome, but when it's a random celebrity, especially one that has no interest in wrestling whatsoever then it sucks. The only exception is Shaq and Seth Green, at least they had balls to actually get in the ring. Even then, it doesn't really matter because it's a one time deal.

Raw was pretty good from January till the Draft. Ever since then its gone downhill, but still not as bad as 2003

There have been longer stretches where Raw was even worse, so, no.

Boring and repetitive doesn't = Gooker
I mean unless RD wants to rename Wrestlecrap to Wrestlebore.

Pre Draft: RAW was fine. Post Draft: RAW has problems.
The whole Guest Host gimmick should get the gooker but it is a current storyline so no nomination (at least for now). The only real problem I have with the guest hosts is that the show focuses on them instead of the product which hurts long programs (unless you are in the main event storyline).

Remember, Freddie Prinze Jr was a booker for Smackdown last year. Plus I heard that Stephanie McMahon was looking for writers from MTV.

I hate it when somebody with no wrestling experience thinks that they will be successful as a booker. I think that only wrestlers/personalities are the only ones qualified to book a show.

What about guys who spent their entire career in a manager gimmick? Couldn't they be qualified to book?

Personalities pertains to managers, commentators, referees, etc. Plus the two best bookers were managers their entire careers: Paul Heyman and Jim Cornette.
