Maybe he's another example of a guy with a gimmick that would have suited the Attitude Era but not now. Isn't that the reason given to the rejection of that vignette Domino filmed? That's a shame too, because that was a really good gimmick. Same with Kizarny. Like, the match wasn't that good, but there are so many things to take into consideration. He wasn't an established heel or babyface, so he came out to the ring not interacting with the crowd, just wandering around, being the character that he was. And he was facing MVP, who was a heel, but was starting to get sympathy after the losing streak. I really think the gimmick could have been made into something good if used right. What I would have loved to see was him be with Edge. That one vingette he did with Vickie Guerrero, they could have Kizarny hanging around Edge and Vickie a lot and Edge saying, yeah, he's a friend of mine from home, we've known each other since we were kids (which was a shoot). So, they could have Kizarny do goofy things with Vickie, but let's say Edge is having problems, Kizarny can come out with a number of different instruments, and brutalize the person who he's fighting and show how sick and twisted he is, and Edge can say Vickie, yeah, we should keep him around us. Or something like that. I like the idea, but think it could have worked better a a "Vickie hates Kizarny, but Edge loves him, so they keep him around" kinda thing, have him help Edge win matches, but cost Chavo and the Edgeheads matches by accident, and just have Edge and Vickie always fighting about it.

Kinda like that annoying pet you want to stop bothering you. Thats the best way to use him in a comical aspect.

The gimmick had potential, in my eyes. But as others have said, it probably would have been a much better fit in the Attitude days. And I also think it would have needed some very strong mic work to make it interesting. I could see a guy who goes on about the beauty of being a freak, about how he loves sword swallowing and fire eating and subjecting his body to all kinds of danger. He would have to do demented, early Mankind style promo's. And frankly, having a touch of talent in the ring might have helped. It would have been best if he had been a sort of combo of Kofi and Foley-a guy who pulls some of the strangest moves in the ring, but also seems to get a kick out of taking abuse. And yeah, the whole "talking carny" thing was lame as hell. While it is common knowledge that carny was a sort of secret language once used by carnival workers, only the most die hard of wrestling fans knows it was at one time the chosen code language of wrestling promoters.

I thought the Kizarny gimmick was lame. This was one of the reasons I stopped watching Smackdown in late 2008. That and La Famila.

I think the problem with the carny talk in WWE is he used it FOR EVERY DAMN WORD, it didn't have any rhythem to it, at least with the promo I put up he used it for certain words that were easy to understand.
