At this pace, OVW will be better than WWE creatively. Can someone please explain to me why Heyman was never given a real fair crack at creative for the main rosters? Cause the booking is excellent for a wrestling Show, but Vince McMahon always wanted to be more than that and appeal to a broader audience. He just can't be satisfied with being a great wrestling promoter, he just has to be known for more. Knoing Vince, he'll pull Heyman out before things look too good, because he doesn't like when someone does better than he does.

YOu'd think so, but considering this is his farm league, he'll probably end up liking the product and start doing some picking and leave Heyman with a new batch of Indie workers and Hosses to work with. Repeat until Heyman goes crazy like Cornette and snaps and gets himself fired.

ooh. how many points does ampulator get for that? i's say triple word score.
vince's ego is definitely bigger than his creativity.

I thought Heyman was never given a real shot at WWE creative because hes the only one with the nads to stand up to Vinces stupid ideas? Well, at least now he can book however the hell he wants. Good for him.

I think he wasn't the right person for the 90's, but he could be definitely in a good support position. Good for him. Good point. But actually, most of the bad ideas are actually from someone else. McMahon doesn't have the brains for being creative. In fact, Russo was his main creative back in the day, and Vince was the filter. I think the current head of Creative is Stephanie McMahon... which explains the problem.

cornette was good for the early nineties. but he was a bit out of touch. heyman is much better suited for now... i think heyman adapts better, too....

well, he was a madman possessed about keeping it old school.... if you look at older ovw matches, they are lacking a certain contemporary flair. look at rico's old finisher... the psychology for most of those matches were by the numbers, as well.

Good point, but I still think, had Cornette been a little bit more flexible, he could have still worked well.

cornette has great instinct... but his ability to keep up with the changes the game naturally goes through is what's lacking. he was trying to book every tag match like a rock and roll express match. it gets real old, real quick. putting asses into seats is one trick, but convincing them to stay is another.

I know Lance conveniently retired around the same time Cornette was Fired, but I wonder what happened to Tommy Dreamer? Wasn't he one of the road agents and Cornette's interim sub?
He and Heyman working on this, just like old times. Wonder when the Innovator of violence is going to show up on ovw tv.

those shows sound amazing. is maria actually training to wrestle there??? I think she's just really serious about the backstage interviewer thing. I know when I first found out she was down there, my respect for her a little since I'm pretty sure she doesn't have to. According some other source, she apparently also works in memphis. Let's hope she stays away from the lawler family. They're all trouble. Can I get some confirmation here? I went to they're website www.kinglawler.com/memphisroster.html and I'm not sure how long ago they updated, they still have King Mabel (despite being in pre Big Vis, Viscera clothing), and a bunch of TnA guys.

Heyman did contribute to SD 6. If anyone was watching and giving the show good ratings Heyman might still be in creative spot for few more months. SD ended up getting lower ratings when he booked SD 6. Funny how TV viewers and net fans are beyond opposite.

Vince mainly wants yes-men on his writing team, people who'll agree with what he says, and for people like Heyman who don't kiss ass, therein lies the problem
