He also appears to be missing the first couple of lyrics to his theme song, as well as his sleeves. Why? Budget cuts?
You're probably thinking "who cares?" I care dammnit.

The tube was gotten rid of in his jobber storyline, the idea being it and his pyro were taken because of his losing streak. As for the sleeves, that's to look more like Mark Henry, while "I'm Coming" was butchered to fit with his entrance sans-tunnel.

I think he looks fine without the sleeves, but him and Mark Henry really need to drop the red. Very few guys on the roster can pull that off, which is why it's so weird that there are so many people wearing it nowadays.

Worse than the sleeves going is that he can't fit "Protect This Ring" onto his gear anymore.

Cutbacks.
They even had to take away his sleeves.

Cutbacks. They even had to take away his sleeves. Once they bought it, they might as well use it all the time. It's not like they could go pawn it or something. (On second thought, I guess they could put it on eBay, it I had money I'd go out of my way to buy it.)

They need more details or something rather than a blank red with initials on thier backs.

Mark Henry changed to red as he would look slimmer in HD. MVP changed to match Henry.

Interesting that he dropped the sleeves, considering the controversy over his tattoos, which, apparently were too politically charged for him to show on tv. I guess he doesn't have any really controversial ones on his arms (he has a Malcom X tat, for example).

Sold it to this guy: Also probably would more of a hassle to regularly do the tunnel on a live tv show like Raw anyway.

It's probably now in that giant warehouse that where the WWE stores all of their old stuff.

Go to 1:14 And he's shown his Malcolm X tat on TV.It was around 2006 after his inferno match with Kane.

With live TV they have time for commercials to set it up at least.
