For those complaining about why Orton would care about a car being destroyed that he had just recieved, did you not see the uncomfortable 3 minute staredown he gave the car? For one reason or another, it was clear that car meant something to him, either as an automobile or as a lover.

I still think it was a dick move on Kofi's part. I agree with Orton, if he's got a problem why not say it to his face? Going after somebody's car is some pussy s***. Because Orton had two other people standing in the ring with him. Kofi wasn't stupid enough to walk right into a 3 on 1 beatdown.

It all started with Rhodes assaulting Kingston post match at Bragging Rights for being the fall guy in the 14 man tag. Then during the Iron Man match, Legacy interfered, helping Orton get a fall, but then Kofi ran them off with a chair. After Kofi beat Jericho (clean!) tonight, Orton assaulted him. I've typed this hoping that you actually didn't know why Kofi attacked Orton's car. I still think it was a dick move on Kofi's part. I agree with Orton, if he's got a problem why not say it to his face? Going after somebody's car is some pussy s***. Could have something to do with how Orton was flanked by two guys all evening, was totally fresh, and Kofi had already wrestled a match and been thrown off of / into the stage.

I don't get it. Has it been established that Orton likes cars? Or was it just that Kofi destroyed something with Orton's face on it? Orton: "Oh no! YOU DESTROYED MY FACE! I look like a monster!" But I hope this Orton/Kofi thing goes far The Orton character's lost it over smaller matters.

Exactly, see what I want to see now is Orton attempt the Punt the very moment he gets the chance, to show how much Kofi has pushed him.

Was just about to make a thread about this - Kofi looked like a star out there, and it was awesome. Dude just went from a future of jobbing to the stars to a future champion, IMO.

Sounds like they've made the necessary tweaks needed to put Kofi from potential star to star. That's good.

True story: I pretty much lost interest in the WWE after the Benoit incident and while I still followed it, I hardly ever watched at all.
The first time I saw Kofi wrestle, I got back into it. He was unique, entertaining, and fun to watch. Done right, Kofi could be huge.

It's really nice to see a fresh face.
Raw gets a lot of crap, and a good deal of it is deserved, but they really pulled this off, they've been doing a good job with Legacy, and now Swagger and Miz are having a program I look forward to. With the inclusion of Sheamus, hell, it's got the potential to overstep ECW and Smackdown in the coming weeks.

What they have done with Kofi has renewed alot of my faith in WWE. Its been a slow road, but stars are finally starting to be made. Everyone knows of Morrison and Punk on Smackdown, but on RAW Swagger,Miz, and Kofi have been getting plenty of time to shine. Evan Bourne is already over. I think people are worrying too much about how he has been used since coming to RAW. Building him back up even more will probably happen once Miz and Swagger are further established.
But back to Kofi, I've never really considered him a main event guy. But lo and behold, you drop the goofy accent and the guy has wicked promo skills. He is going to lose the feud with Orton (if this is in fact legit). I can't see him winning it, not now. Orton just lost to Cena so I doubt they would have Orton lose again unless it was gonna lead to some huge blow up with the Orton character.

At first when Kofi came to Raw, I didn't hate him, but he wasn't appointment viewing for me, either. He was just a guy in the mid-card. However, I look forward to where he can go now that the seeds have been planted for a main-event push.
Anyone getting Rocky Mavia vibes from Kofi? Babyface that just keeps smiling, although Kofi never got booed out of an arena.
Miz is on his way, too, as is Swagger. If they don't mess this up they could have some fresh, exciting new talent on Raw in no time.

People who are mentioning Miz and Swagger...
I'm wondering if a Triple Threat match is in the future...Miz/Swagger/Bourne, since Bourne did have the count-out victory over Miz.
Then again, last time that Bourne got a win over the United States Champion (Kofi at the time), nothing came of it.

My internet was down last night but I couldn't wait to come in here and see what the reaction was to Kofi's segment.
I personally thought this was absolutely a star-making segment. And very few times have I ever said "that's a STAR-making segment," not that what I say has any weight or anything. Last time I thought that was Shelton Benjamin and HHH's first match. And they did a good job building on it, but they sort of scaled back the push once he got the IC title, and then his complacency coupled with his lack of mic skills sort of sealed his midcarder status.
But for me, in that one promo, Kofi showed that he has the intensity and the mic skills to pull off the prolonged push that Shelton didn't seem to get. And he's every bit the athlete Shelton is, to boot.
I haven't been this excited about a push in a long time.

Miz and Swagger both have good ring chemistry with Bourne. Hell, toss in Chavo or Masters somewhere for good measure.

It's not enough that every single other person posting in this thread disagrees with me? Anyway, regardless of what I think of the buildup, I do think a Kofi/Orton feud is a good idea overall since it's something different. I expect that the matches will deliver as well.

I'm kind of glad Kofi dropped the accent, because now we get to see a serious side of his character, whereas as "Jamaican" Kofi Kingston, we heard a fake accent played up as a happy-go-lucky midcard character.
Now we get a serious wrestler who's feuding with a proven main eventer, and hopefully the program shows WWE that Kofi's one who can and should be elevated once the older guys start retiring.

....And for the first time I see Kofi as a Main Eventer. Which I'm quite glad of, cause I always found his in-ring ability fun to watch, but it seems like they never gave the guy promo time or a friggin character other than "...He's Jamaican!~". This also makes me hope WWE stops sangbagging guys with accents or other gimmicky-traits, and rather simply try to develop characters out of the wrestlers true personality.
