This guy was been working with me for about a month and we're talking basketball. He asks me if I follow much sports, to which I say not really... but I love fake sports.
"What do you mean?"
"Pro wrestling and stuff like that."
"Oh, ahaha, funny you should say that... my dad was a pro wrestler back in the day, but he was probably before your time."
"Really, who was he?"
"You know of Bruiser Brody?"
Holy excretory matter.
Dude and I talked for hours about Brody... he told me allot of cool stories and also some excretory matterty ones, of course his dad's murder and all that.
He's a really nice guy and I'm gonna help him find some stuff of his dad's that he has trouble finding.
I'll post some more stories sometime.
Edit: can one of the mods move this to Wrest of Wrestling? I put this in the wrong forum.

Be good if people on this site can find a lot of stuff for him that he wants to see, be a good deed for the day & wow at the coincidence. Ask him if he wants to join Legacy lol

Well, he doesn't follow wrestling and he has a huge warehouse of Brody's old ring gear, weights, and supposedly hundreds of tapes (many of which are one of a kind, I'm sure) somewhere in Daytona, I think he says, where his mom currently lives.
But, he doesn't use torrents or anything so I'm just going to find allot of stuff of his dad on the torrent sites along with the decent amount of stuff that I already have.
He's not said anything specific, but I'll ask Sunday if he needs anything in particular.
Thanks for the offers of help, guys... very unexpected to see people show such an interest.

I actually have a buddy in San Antonio that was on some little league team with a son of Bruiser Brody's (perhaps this guy??) when he was little. Anyway, my buddy used to see Brody and his boy all the time.

Really? That's pretty sweet. Is he a big guy like Bruiser was?

That is really, really cool! Do you know if he read his Dad's book yet or if he had any input in it?? I haven't read it myself but just wonder what his son thinks of it....

Bump to this... I've not really been too invasive with the "wrestling nerd talk" (though I've wanted to), but the dude is really a cool ass guy. I've partied with the guy, talked music with him, etc.... he really is a cool guy.
Sad thing is, you can really tell that he never quite got over what happened to his pops... But, he's been pretty much the initiator in the conversations involving him, so, he's proud to talk about his dad, for sure.
I told him I'd do this little project for him and I'm still working on it; that of making a few DVDs or so for him of his dad...
I've got allot of Bruiser Brody stuff, as it is, but there is some stuff I don't have, at all... namely his Georgia stuff and his WCCW stuff... I have a good chunk of his Japanese and Puerto Rican stuff.
If anyone could help me in the way of links to purchases of collections... different websites that may have more stuff (I'm already a member of XWT, XWT Classic, and PWT) or links to higher quality versions of the stuff you find on Youtube, I'd be very grateful.

I think his mom had allot to do with it... whenever he mentions the books he refers to it as "his mom's book", so, I think she mostly wrote it but had a ghostwriter of sorts. He said he's let me borrow it, but it hasn't happened yet, and I'm not gonna bother him for it. It's pressed by ECW, the same company as the Wrestlecrap books, so I'm sure it's not hard to find.

All I can say is, I doubt I have to tell you this, but be respectful. Asking him about went down in Puerto Rico, for example, is probably not a great idea.

And maybe you shouldn`t tell him about how crazy some fans are. Like for example me thinking about getting a Quote of his Dad Tattooed on mir Forearm.

I can understand how he feels about what happened to his dad. From all reports I've read, the man was murdered and the murderer got off basically scott-free, and was able to work well for another 2 decades.
