I honestly feared that Saito might attempt to commit suicide one of these days. I hope and pray he'll be all right, Misawa's death wasn't his fault and the last thing we want is another tragedy.

well it could work similar to wwe. except you know with 3 legit brands. also they could be starting wellness I hope Hase gets regulation for all sports. Wellness would be awesome It would, but it'll be a reality check for fans when a lot of the way Puro has been worked may have to go, like the extreme disregard for safety. This was a very dark day in wrestling. Reading the injuries, it would seem he was literally decapitated in the ring, since it doesn't require anything more than spine seperation. That is astonishing, but I guess it's just another reminder horrible accidents can always happen.

Tokyo Sports have confirmed Saito tried to commit suicide. I'm pretty sure my heart just broke again.

That's very sweet, and really drives the point home that much more.

Here's something about suicide in Eastern culture.
Japanese (and Asian) culture views suicide differently that Western culture in that people will kill themselves if things are looking down so that further shame won't come to their family (in their mindset). The ex-president of South Korea jumped off a mountain recently because of corruption charges and past high ranking officials in wrestling and politics have done the same in the face of shame.
Also, bring into the long-time attitude in Puro of "tough it out" and "keep to yourself", and it's really scary for Saito right now. I hope modern-trained psychologist are available over there for Saito and the rest of the NOAH roster.

I understand what you're saying, but I have to admit I don't like your implication it'd be hard to find a modernly trained psychologist in Japan. If you didn't meant it like that, though, I aplogize.

They're not as prevalent in Japan as they are in Western cultures, but they aren't a rarity. It would be an issue of Saito actually wanting to see one rather than finding one due to traditional values.

God, poor Saito. Considering Japanese culture, I'm not all that surprised, but I feel heartsick for this guy. I hope he realizes it's not his fault, that it was a freak accident, but something tells me in my heart he never will be right with this.

I think the best thing right now would be for Noah to send Saito and one other guy to keep him company, live with and woatch over him to the states for about 6 months. I just think everything there has got to be a grim horrid haunting reminder to him. Everything in his life has Misawa's prints on it. Please if ever Noah needed to cash in on their ROH relationship this is that time.

Remember their oh-so-classy chants towards Davey Richards? "Goodnight Daniel!" Made me sick to my stomach.

You might have to tell me (probably via PM) about this, as this is the first time I've heard of it. But foremost, they have to help Akitoshi. Just do something. ANYTHING. I know their view of suicide is different, but it doesn't make it any better. I just want him to get the help he needs. Misawa wouldn't want this to get them down, just keep going.

Made me sick to my stomach. first it wasn't a chant, and second it wasn't by "ROHbots". one person said it one time during one match, and if i recall right he was ejected right after saying it.

I really hope Saito finds the help he needs and doesn't commit suicide. That would be even worse that the Misawa tragedy we already have.
Between the pictures and Meltzer's reports, this is really being hammered home. And I'm about as far from a puro mark as anybody that likes indy wrestling can get.
I just really hope that Saito gets help for this.
