Im sure there has been a thred like this before, but i was wondering what wrestlers you thought would never be over and got over.
For me, it's Finlay. When I first seen vignettes for him, i thought what's the point of bringin in a guy who wasn't over 10 yrs ago. Now, he's one of the premiere players of smackdown

Now, he's one of the premiere players of smackdown I thought Finlay was over in WCW, at least during the time that he was feuding with Benoit and Booker T. He was over as a stiff brawler and had the Finlay Spike (Tombstone) and the Finlay Roll. I never thought Boogeyman would get over.

Boogeyman was definitely a surprise. He definitely has marketability. If he were a good wrestler, he'd probably be one of the top guys right now.

I agree about Finlay, didn't think he would fit WWE's style, but he's done very well for himself this year.
Carlito, not so much,IMO. He's over to a moderate degree, but will never be a maineventer.
