I have heat with my family at the moment for canceling family vacation plans in order to go to this show. My ticket was already purchased and the promoter doesn't do exchanges or refunds, so I can at least hide behind that a little. This is supposedly one of the best wrestling conventions to go to. It'll be my first year attending. I look forward to seeing some of you fellow 'crappers there.
By The Way, the promoter of this show is the same guy Billy Graham cut his Satanic promos on as read on WrestleCrap Radio.

dang, i forgot about adding the pictures. I'll get on to that later tonight.
However, I would like to mention that they just announced that "THE AMERICAN DREAM" DUSTY RHODES will be appearing Friday from 12-3.

Yep, Nash backed out on RFVideo to take a higher paying booking at Wizard World, and has been replaced by Dusty. Which is totally fine by me.
Also, Ox Baker has been announced as a vendor guest.

Just as another update: Due to unspecified reasons beyond the promoter's control, Blackjack Mulligan will not be appearing. He will, however, still be inducted into the Hall of Heroes.
In good news, Ric Flair will be attending after all, as a featured guest of the convention. He will be doing a Q&A with Harley Race, and afterward there will be a special photo op with Flair, Harley, and the NWA title belt that Flair owns. There will also be Four Horsemen photo ops involving the original lineup, the Windham lineup, and one with both Ole and Barry included.
Also, will Lex Luger be a vendor guest? I DON'T KNOW! (Actually, I do, and yes, he will)

Is Lex still in a wheelchair? I heard a year ago he was able to get around with one and was making good progress, but have heard nothing since.

If you like old school wrestling, you will really enjoy this event. My wife and I have gone twice and we had a really good time. It's cool, b/c you can get close to some great wrestlers and talk to them. We had drinks with: JJ Dillon, ODB, Daffney, Shane Helms, Ken Patera, Baron Von Rashke, Kevin Sullivan, Ole Anderson, Dawn Marie, etc. We spent a lot of time with Buddy Roberts (Freebirrds) and his son. They were very nice.

I want to go to this show so bad. Had actually made plans to go then found out that I can't take vacation from work that week. I do however expect full updates and pictures and whatnot.

I am so tempted to say screw my job and make the 4-hour drive to Charlotte. If I don't go this year, mark my words, I will be there next year with plenty o cash to spend on autographs, etc.

You can count on plenty of pictures and hopefully some cool stories once I get back. I was already incredibly excited about this, but when they announced that Flair would be there after all and the Horsemen would ride one more time, forget it. I've actually gotten an adrenaline rush a couple times just thinking about it.

You know what would be clever? Having a vendor stand for "Generic Gimmicks." Mayor Mystery, Doink the Clown, Biker CAW, Black Scorpion, Shockmaster and Golga.

An update on the matches, Steamboat Jr. (or Richie Steamboat, as he's been called both) is out, as he's booked in Puerto Rico that weekend.
Steve Corino vs Abdullah the Butcher has been confirmed. This should be wild.
Too Cold Scorpio and the man who tore the house down last year, Mike Jackson, are confirmed, though not against each other. Scorpio was originally going to face Steamboat.
Rhett Titus has also confirmed.

Scorp/Steamboat would be a great match!!!
Already starting to save up cash for next year's event. It would be like a small slice of wrestling heaven...

I have heat with my family at the moment for canceling family vacation plans in order to go to this show. This is pretty much the reason I'm not going. My fiancee got pissed that I was willing to go to North Carolina for this but not willing to go to Outer Banks, North Carolina for Xmas with her family. And now that I see Flair and Ox Baker are gonna be there, I'm really kicking myself.
