Edge deserved it. I didn't feel that Samoa Joe had anywhere close to the year he had in '05.

Nick Hogan got an award too.
It's in the Car section.

I didn't catch that the first time through. As long as it keeps him away from a ring.

Edge didn't have that good of a year that every seems to claim he has. And of course Joe and Angle's year were pretty lackluster, too. For WWE or TNA, there wasn't really a good year for much of anyone. It seemed they just put some top names in a hat and drew 'em.

I looked at the topic of this, and came to the conclusion that this topic originated in a parallel universe because IGN considering fans is bull.
Anybody who read through the brown-nosing debacle that was all their SvR '07 coverage will know what I'm talking about.
[/End Rant]
EDIT: Also, I think in theory, Jeff Hardy probably had the best year in wrestling. Goes from pretty much has-been to being somebody again in the span of a couple months

But Sabu messed up as we all know and Sandman is horribly under-used.

Edge had a good year?
How is constantly being jobbed to Cena and DX a good year?

Edge had a good year? How is constantly being jobbed to Cena and DX a good year? Two world title reigns and two possible match of the year contenders (one stealing the show at WM) seems like a good year to me.

Edge had a good year? How is constantly being jobbed to Cena and DX a good year? I concur. Even though he had 2 extremely short runs with the belt (losing them in the rematch) and has been given the tag team belts with the master of the rest hold Randy Orton, I don't believe that Edge has had that great of a year.

" The man speared Mick Foley off the ring and flew face first into a flaming table. If that doesn't win you some sort of award, I don't know what will. "
Soooo....Edge won the award because of one spot?

Would you rather they say Cena because he "Can excite the fans"?

Someone already said it, but it's been a pretty lackluster year. No one really stood out. At least Edge had some damn good matches away from Cena, got two huge pops (once at NYR, once at ONS2), was constantly in the Main Event picture either feuding with Cena or DX, and is finishing the year with a belt around his waste.
Sure it could have been better, but who else is there? Maybe Finlay or King Booker, but thats about it.
