During tonight's "Best of Smackdown" World Wrestling Entertainment will air an announcement from Teddy Long that WWE World champion Batista will defend the title at the Royal Rumble against the winner of the first-ever "Smackdown Sprint."
The first Smackdown episode of 12007 will feature a series of matches with the competitor that wins the quickest earning the title shot at the Rumble PPV in San Antonio, Texas.
Thanks to Cameron Hamon for his help.
WHO WILL WIN!!! Or should I say, WHO WILL JOB!!!
To live is to die...rest in peace Lenny...
The real First zombie mark when you are zwo , your zwo for after life!!!
Me neither, as 12006 was a really bad year for wrestling. We had EG-716 winning the WWE Intergalactic Title in Month 01, but ever since then it has all gone downhill.
There's been robot revolts, a galaxy-sweeping proton war and all, but RAW has still sucked. When will Bobo McMahon (son of Koko) finally understand that we don't want to see his monkey ass (literally) on TV or him feuding with Torgo Levesque and H8K? I mean, DX got old almost 10,010 years ago and they're STILL doing the same schtick! The booking team totally sucks.
Bobo even tried to bring back ECW once again when he realized that pushing John Cena just might have gotten old by that point, but it went just like the last time ECW was resurrected ten thousand years ago: he would just send all the most generic guys such as L4-5HL and the large alien whose language no one can understand to ECW. When will they learn?
Oh, and I hope Hulk Hogan finally retires in 12007. I mean, the guy consists of a brain inside a cybernetic shell, a bandana and mustache, and he still goes over much more advanced competitors.

I hope they go with Finlay this time. I know that they don't have confidence in Finlay as a solid Main Eventer that will stick around forever, so this is the perfect nite to give him a title shot. They already have the Rumble as the main so they can take a chance on an undercard match.
