Okay now that the Best of Hulk Hogan DVD has been out for a while and was put together to show some of his bigger, though not necessarily best matches it is time to take an alternative view on what could have been.
For all the guff that the IWC gives Hogan about his wrestling skills (and who can disagree?) Hogan has had several at least technically adequte matches. So if you were to show the best of Hogan's career from a pure wrestling perspective what matches would be on it?
So far I have...
Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior (Halloween Havoc Wrestlemania VI)
Hulk Hogan vs. The Great Muta (Japan '93)
Hulk Hogan vs. Stan Hansen (Japan)
Hulk Hogan & Genichiro Tenryu vs. Road Warriors (3/30/91)
I'm sure there's more, probably mostly from Japan. So what are they?

Hogan vs Macho, WM V wasn't terrible. You already got Hogan/Muta 93, thats always my pick I havent seen it, but, Hogan/Inoki where Hogan won the IWGP title might be worth a shot

I never saw it, but was Kurt Angle vs Hogan at King of the Ring any good?? If so, you can add that one to the list

I believe Hogan wrestled Bret Hart in Canada on Nitro once-I know for a fact he was in Canada, just a little iffy on if it was Hart but I'm almost positive. To this day my brother will still occasionally mention about how good Hogan was in that match-I didn't catch it, but it must have been something special for him still to hold it in high regard

Hogan's the best worker of all time. Wrestling doesn't exist so the only way to judge a pre-determined performance is if people like it and nobody pleased the punters more than Hulk.

Although we've all seen it time and time again, the Hogan vs. Slaughter title match at WM 7 was pretty good, from a storyline perspective and from a wrestling perspective. Hogan did pummel Slaughter w/ several moves for about 10-15 mins before Slaughter got control and layed on the cammel clutch. From an in-ring performance standpoint, I think this is one of Hogan's finer performances.

But Hogan managed to pull off a move I'd never seen before. He had Hart in an armlock and turned it into a cross armbar from a standing position. I was like "Whoa". Hogan was kind of like Cena is now. With the right dancing partner, he can do a decent mambo.

If so I have seen the match, but it was about eight or so years ago, so my memory is a little foggy. If it was that good, I wish I could track it down again.

Hulk HOgan vs. Masa Chono from 2003 was great.
The Texas Death Match vs. Harley Race excellent
Megapowers Explode is my favorite match.
Then there's that cage match against bossman.
The match in his heel years challenging Bob Backlund for the WWF title.
Oh and Hogan vs. Ric Flair Cage match from Halloween Havoc was really kick ass.
Not to mention his matches against Mr. Perfect and Ted DiBIase from Saturday Night.

Hulk Hogan is a guy who never really had that great match. He's been in some of the biggest matches, like against Andre at Wrestlemania 3. But few of Hogan's matches come close to being great. Can anyone really name the best Hogan match ever? Bret had classics against HBK and Austin, Flair had a bunch of them, most notably the Steamboat trilogy.

Hogan is a better wrestler than promoters allowed him to be in America. Watch his Japanese matches and you'll see how much better he is there, because they allowed him to do what Hiro Matsuda taught him to do.
As for his greatest match? I'd call it a flat out tossup between three matches:
Hogan/Andre at Mania III. Andre may have had his best days well behind him, but this match was and is still the pinnacle of Mania history.
Hogan/Warrior at Mania VI. Watch that match and tell me it wasn't a phenomenal bout. It was set up perfectly heading in despite Warrior's incomprehensibility. And the match itself was everything people were expecting and then some.
Hogan/Flair at Havoc 94. Obviously, Flair didn't stay 'retired', but the match had everything, and prior to the formation of the nWo was the biggest thing in wrestling at that time.
