Ok I'm gonna try and bring this back on topic (and fail)
I think Umaga's all right, but the gimmick is just too much of a rehash for me to really get behind.

Jesus. Where do these threads come from? People just make them to get themselves over. to create a little internet following for themselves. Like, they're enlightening the rest of us. Jesus

Jesus And going behind every thread and making smartass comments about them is any better. Almost all of your post is insulting other posters...we may be "trying to get ourselves over" but at least we arent trolls. If you dont like the IWC..or people posting about wrestling..perhaps an internet wrestling forum is the wrong place for you?

I feel that we need to get this thread on track, with a tribute to Patrick O'Maga.

I would like to say I always hated Cena, from the moments I laid eyes on him, but its his character I hate, I don't think hes that bad a wrestler, and I've also thought the Umaga gimmick was a waste of time, but I'd rather watch him that Cena any day.

Eh. He's just 'there'.
I like him and everything, but he's not changing the face of wrestling, ya dig?

Id prefer that he teamed with Rosey again and become a modern day Samoan Swat Team

Umaga's fine. He does his job well, and (thus far) he's booked well. He's grown on me.

Id prefer that he teamed with Rosey again and become a modern day Samoan Swat Team Yeah, but then him and Rosey would be just two fats guys in a tag team. At least now he has a gimmick, an entertaining manager, and some matches that involve him no-selling head shots and running his ass full force into guy's faces.

OK, here's the rundown for me.
I like Umaga, and i always did ever since he debuted with the Afa hairstyle.
I don't hate Cena, but I don't like him either. I think he hasa lot of heart as a person, and he obviously is passionate about running with the ball that WWE has given him. I just don't like his character much and I hate the way he has been booked.
I did not like John Cena any more in 2003 than i do now.

I feel that we need to get this thread on track, with a tribute to Patrick O'Maga. Is that the O'Meara's of Mike O'Meara's from Don and Mike fame? I live 15 minutes from it, and have yet to go.. Oh and Umaga is a gimmick that just dies once he loses. You can't have an unstoppable savage just start losing, and it's not like you can develop his character further. That being said, hopefully he goes over Cena and Cena takes time off to sell the match as brutal. But I highly doubt we'll see Umaga with the strap by WM

i think umaga is good in the ring i just think his gimmick is a bit early 90's. it also has the major problem of when he finally loses hes useless. i cant really see him with the strap either

And since when does everyone who frequents this board try to put themselves over? Edit: I almost forgot, my view on Umaga. He's a little bit entertaining, but they couldn't come up with another nickname for him than The Samoan Bulldozer? I don't mind him much, and his mouthpiece does his job.

I don't mind Umaga as much as I did when I first saw him, though I wish he kept the hair out, rather in braids as it would put him over more as a wild man.
As for Cena, I haven't becoming a fan of his, just that I'm desensitized to seeing him win all the time. Last year around this time, I was pissed as hell every time he won, but nah I'm just "meh" to it.

Umaga is more interesting than Jamal of 3 Minute Warning ever was, I'll grant him that.

I cannot wait for Umaga to come down to the ring, holding his ears and chanting "I DON'T SUCK!" over and over.
