www.wwe.com/inside/3834258/3879184What is it so memorable for, delivering low ratings and NBC not wanting anything to do with it anymore? Oh, and was it really more memorable than an appearance by Bret?

The shows were skippable and tanked in the ratings. An obvious great moment!

But...but...they had white ring ropes. How cool is that?

It's because they brought the show back after 14 years of non-existence, not so much the shows themselves. SNME is a legendary show and bringing it back was a big deal.

The two SNME shows have been among the worst produced by the WWE. The WWE vs ECW TV was probably the best WWE TV show in years.

I was there, and it was surreal. But, I am disappointed that they called it the Cobb Arena, instead of the Cobo Arena.

It's because this is the WWE we're talking about. Logic and more importantly, reality, have no place in the WWE.

Didn't see the summer edition due to lack of interest (and no, I'm not interested in getting a copy of it now either), but I DID see the first one, what a boring pile of drek, and I can't believe a show like that gets put on DVD while stuff like Great American Bash 1989, Canadian Stampede, and Judgment Day 2000 are sitting on the shelves.

I'm not really surprised that this would be mentioned. They did hype it up pretty much before the 1st show and made you think it could be something good...but it ended up sucking though. The shows are so forgettable the only things I remembered from both was: Stone Cold/JBL beer contest, Mickie turning on Trish, and a bikini bull riding contest that none of the chicks even wore bikinis in. Both were probably the worst free WWE shows of 2006

It's because this is the WWE we're talking about. Logic and more importantly, reality, have no place in the WWE. Ah, it's a worked sport where joint locks make for the least effective submissions, employees can beat the crap out of their superiors with little reprecussion, one of the most popular members of either roster is a zombie, and the referees still manage to blow decisions despite years of the bad guys cheating and making it obvious what they're going to do to cheat. You want reality?

Hey, I enjoyed the first one. The street fight and the JBL/Austin segment were memorable moments.
The second one was god-awful though.

Well, they took a legendary show and killed it by associating the current nonsense with it, so that by itself is pretty memorable.

I remember hearing that they were supposed to have one in October, but I guess the 2 awful ratings kinda turned NBC off to that idea.
It's better left in the past, as mentioned several times we see Superstar vs. Superstar every week, so when you put it on a different day, it won't make a difference because the fans are desensitized to it already.
SNME in the 80's/90's>>>SNME 2006.
