So, of the current crop of WWE talent (including some of those just recently left), who do you see as being in WWE's Hall of Fame some day? Triple H is pretty much a lock to go in, unless things sour between him & Steph at some point. Shawn Michaels is pretty much a certainty too. Undertaker would definitely make the list.
What about Trish Stratus or Lita? Are they Hall of Fame material? Despite Kurt Angle's acheivements, would WWE hold a serious grudge against him for going to TNA? Your thoughts?

Of the currest roster, I would agree on HHH, HBK & Undertaker. Ric Flair is a must when he retires. I also believe that Teddy Long is a must; from his days in WCW w/ Doom right up until his GM days. Jerry Lawler & JR are also shoe-ins. To me, Benoit & Booker T is also a shoe-ins for beig lifetime performers. Since they are still listed on WWE.com as being on the RAW roster, the Rock & Stone Cold are also shoe-ins.
The wrestlers on the border are Cena, Edge, & Big Show. Cena is starting to get some really great "Hogan-like" reactions at arena's and might be on his way to being up there w/ Stone Cold & Rock as icons. Edge may get there simply by no. of titles; he's been tag champ countless times and who knows how many WWE or World titles he'll win. Big Show has done alot, but I'm not sure he's done enough to garner himself HOF status.

Big Show is the only one to hold the WWE, WCW and ECW titles. That's enough for the E to put him in the HoF.

I don't think the WWE HOF will be around in the next 15 years or whenever or if ever these guys retire and leave. If it is, of course Trish and Lita will get in. Why wouldn't they? They didn't leave on bad terms. Angle will get in. I'm willing to bet you'll see Angle in the WWE again one day when TNA folds. Vince will take back anyone if he thinks he'll make money. I mean come on, Vince hired Eric Bishoff. If he would hire Eric he'd take back anyone!

My line on the HOF now is that it used to be a quiet and distinguished affair to guys who deserved the honors, now with it being on TV and DVD all it basically serves a purpose as is a glorified blow job to anyone who has worked in the business even at a mediocre level. You want proof, in no way shape or form in Cowboy Bob Orton a hall of famer.

^ I agree w/ Orton not being HOF material, but it just worked out great to have him inducted the same weekend his son was involved in a headlining WM match, and then have daddy come down to cheat for him.
I agree w/ your take on the HOF, and I also think that it's another opportunity to cash in on. The HOF is becoming a big deal in other professional sports like MLB & the NFL; if the WWE can somehow cash in on this with their own version then why not? I don't think the first induction was televised, but the past couple have been; Vince cashing in on advertisement dollars & ticket sales.

WWE's Hall of Fame is pretty much a joke. Bob Orton is in there, yet Sammartino & Bob Backlund aren't? Randy Savage wouldn't be considered for induction for whatever reason. Only those loyal to WWE get consideration. Hell, Harley Race barely even worked for McMahon & he's in there.

It was also a historical entry - every wrestler from the first WrestleMania main event is in the HOF. Why Mr. T isn't in there yet, though, is quite beyond me.

He's done more for wrestling than Pete Rose. Heck, even Cyndi Lauper would be a welcome celebrity inductee.

I'm still kind of caught up on the fact that Eddie is in the HOF but yet Owen Hart isn't. That's just me though. At least they finally were able to get Bret in there and hopefully his brother won't be too far behind.
I too easily see HHH, HBK, Undertaker and Flair in the HOF when the time comes. I feel Trish and Lita do deserve a spot as does Kurt Angle.
And until he's inducted, the WWE Hall of Fame isn't Bob Backlund approved.

Mick Foley is also a lock. But when he does his induction speech, I would like him to split it among his three personalities.

God I hope Trish or Lita don't get in the HoF. I think at this point Trish believes she invented women's 'wrestling'

God I hope Trish or Lita don't get in the HoF. I think at this point Trish believes she invented women's 'wrestling' Trish could've done with watching a few GAEA Japan tapes before stepping in between the ropes, true. But for the past 4 years she was considered the top female wrestler in North America (despite being outclassed by Molly Holly, Victoria & Mickie James, & that's just the ones in WWE).

I think that Trish Stratus will get inducted into the HOF. Even though a lot of us think she is overrated, the truth is that she kind of symbolized women's wrestling of the past 5 years. And as much as the smart fans love people like Molly, she simply was not over with the mainstream fans like Trish was.
If they ever make a "Smark HOF", Molly would be inducted and trish quite possibly wouldn't. But smarking doesn't sell DVD's and give the USA network broadcast ratings when the HOF airs.

I could be wrong, but I think the HoF has been around for ages, I seem to remember a WWF Magazine article about it when Bobo Brazil and Gorilla Monsoon (among others) were inducted
