Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair take on Australia...I'd watch it
I mean I'd love to see these old geezers pull all these random hot chicks at the clubs.
Seriously I'm more interested on the Reallity Show, it should put The Coreys to shame

Seriously I'm more interested on the Reallity Show, it should put The Coreys to shame It would be better as a sitcom. Hulk Hogan is the clean, up tight one and Flair is the wild, crazy foreigner. And how are they going to make rent before ol' man Stephens kicks them out? Tune in this Friday to "2 Ol' Geezers" only on NBC.

You guys do realize that the vast majority of fans will never even know this tour happened, right?
And as far as "ruining his legacy" I have to ask: Do you think Terry Funk ruined his legacy by rolling around in barbed wire and falling on small explosive charges as he rapidly approached the same age that Flair is now? Or when he had 15,000 retirement shows and came back every time? Did he ever even manage to stay retired for more than a year? Because I have to tell you, even though I really don't like garbage wrestling at all, it didn't do a damn thing to Funk's legacy in my eyes.
Did Lou Thesz ruin his legacy by wrestling a match after his 70th birthday? I can only imagine what the response would have been to that one when it was announced. Once again, in my eyes, it didn't even dull the shine on his legacy. Though it helps that it was a better match than I've seen on TV in a long time.
And to hit this from another angle: Has everyone ignored Bischoff saying that a deal has NOT happened yet?

Yes to me Funk did ruin his legacy by coming back after his emotional 1980 Japan retirement tour. A lot of the Japanese fans apparently feel the same.

Actually I expected this completely. Good way to pee on your legacy Mr. Flair. Don't worry, he'll probably change his mind next week.

And to hit this from another angle: Has everyone ignored Bischoff saying that a deal has NOT happened yet? Yeah, I really think this would do nothing to hurt his legacy. I doubt any casual US fans would even know it will happen, so this is pretty much just the equivalent of just Arnold Schwarzenegger doing one of those weird Japanese commercials (actually that Idea alone is pretty damn awesome....someone get flair's agent on the phone!) Also, if your talking about Flair's legacy, I think spending your retirement wrestling arguably the biggest name of all time in the main event of a sold out over seas tour sounds A LOT better than showing up on Raw every other month just to get beaten to a bloody pulp to get an angle over.

Yes to me Funk did ruin his legacy by coming back after his emotional 1980 Japan retirement tour. A lot of the Japanese fans apparently feel the same. Okay, but let me ask: how much of that was "He's making a joke of himself and his career. He shouldn't have came back" and how much of it was "Wow, that was a great and legitimately emotional farewell tour that I witnessed (at least in the case of the Japanese fans) and now he's back. So the great emotional moment that I got to be a part of isn't final after all. Screw him!" I could be wrong, but that one always seemed more like a case of people getting angry because their emotions had been toyed with and this great moment was no longer what it had been. I don't see how one can argue that Funk tarnished his legacy simply based on the Flair feud, but that's just me.

Asked some people who live in Japan their opinions on Terry Funk? Because a lot of people there love the old geezers like Funk, Abby, Tiger JEET singh, and Tenryu.

He worked in Japan with Funk and said the same as I did. That's where I got it from.

I'd say that's true enough. I don't see how one can argue that Funk tarnished his legacy simply based on the Flair feud, but that's just me. That feud was good but he didn't do much after IMO (only be set on fire etc.).

www.wrestleview.com/news2009/1253077786.php?style=darkEric Bischoff confirmed to ProWrestling.net late Tuesday night that Ric Flair has officially signed with Bischoff and Hulk Hogan's "Hulkamania" touring promotion. Things start up with a tour this November in Australia.
Note from Adam Martin: Dave Meltzer confirmed Flair's signing on Tuesday afternoon, but Eric Bischoff issued a statement not long later that reports of Flair signing was premature. Of course, only hours later it is confirmed. So, we are back to where we started.
